Week 15

Went to the doctor this am. Bean is doing well. I heard its little heart beat again. I also took the quad panel blood test which detects spina bifida among other things. The results will be back in one week. According to my doctor, we can have the level 2 ultrasound to determine whether Bean is a boy or girl before my next visit (around 18 weeks). That is sooner than I thought. Though Matt and I would be happy either way, the Chinese Lunar calendar says it will be a boy (and it claims to be 99% accurate). Time will tell. Log your bets here.

Bean's first fishing trip! On the Sabine River looking for white bass and enjoying boat side pork chops. (This was really week 12- Bean's coming out party in Marshall).

Bean is starting to make an appearence. All my clothes are getting tighter. I envy people with elastic waistbands and coaches who can wear sweats to work!

Weeks 13

Bean participated in its first trial the first week of January. It was a mock tournament put on by Thompson & Knight. We were the defendants and we won! My trial partner was 5 months prego so she took any attention off of people thinking I was pregnant. Bean made me very sleepy and after the whole event I slept for hours. I should be coming out of this exhaustion phase soon.

Week 12

Everything is going well. We had our 12 week check up last Friday and we heard Bean's heartbeat with the Doppler instrument. We also spilled the beans that same day. Everyone except those at TK are in the know. Mums the word if you are talking to people I work with, at least for the next few weeks. I am now officially nerding out on being pregnant. I have not only started this blog, but I am also looking at daily and weekly pregnancy websites.
