Luke- 55 Months

Hi internet,

Here I am at 55 months. Moving on up! I have been so busy this past month. I've been on road trips, ridden my bike about 2500 miles in our cul de sac, started a new gymnastics class, worked on some class projects, had a sleepover, learned to keep myself busy while Davis watches Star Wars, and started chronicling things in pictures that I draw. My imagination is flourishing. I tell stories while I draw, make up stories and skits for my toys and stuffed animals. At school we have moved past the uppercase letters and started writing our lower case letters. I can almost count to 100 by ones and have just about gotten it down by 10's. But I don't really like counting that much. I like battling outside with all my neighbor friends. Battling is when you pick a weapon, get on a team and battle. Sometimes it involves hide and seek. So fun. I'm pretty daring outside and was recently seen riding in a wagon pulled behind a motorized scooter while tied together with my rodeo rope. Not my smartest move! We have lots going on in the next few weeks (thinking swim lessons, T-ball and stuff!).

Talk soon,
Luke

Davis - 33 Months

Hi all,

I am renaming this post Davis Episode 2.7. That is a direct reference to my all time favorite thing right now...Star Wars. I've seen Episodes 4, 5, 6 and 1. Apparently 2 and 3 are for mature audiences. I love Boba Fet, Hans Solo, and Anakin as a child. My parents always wondered how kid fixations started, well, this is my Sandlot. Luke Skywalker is my Benny. My favorite color is still orange. I love orange. I dream of orange. I like counting and I'm pretty accurate most of the time. I like riding my bike and get faster and faster. I like participating in the battles with the big kids outside, my weapon of choice...my light saber. BUT, I did get a new play gun when we were in Marshall recently and I like it as a close second. I'm starting to go down for bed a lot easier too as long as mom and dad crack the door (and read me one of the 3 star wars books we own). I'm starting to plan my birthday party and can't decide for sure what I want to do. I'm guessing Star Wars will play a big role. Stay tuned.

Hooray for Halftime!

The Black Eyed Peas are awesome! Awesome. We danced and danced and danced to their halftime show. We also learned who Slash is. He is interesting because he does not talk or sing. Just plays guitar....

Nash Turns 1!

We went to Austin to celebrate Nash's first birthday. It was so a hot dog party hosted by the Pigeon from Mo Willem's books!

Cousin bath time. It won't be long before we don't all fit in the tub together.

We got to Austin just in time. It snowed! SNOWED while we were there. We played until it started really melting. We made snowballs, ate snow, and made tracks through all the untouched snow.

Snow and Cactus. Only in Texas.
Look how pretty Pac Man and Tia's house looks with snow on the roof!

PJ and Teddy Bear Day for Pre-K

Pre-K is so much fun. We are learning so much. I've mastered all of my capital letters. But we have fun too. We had pj and teddy bear day last month. I got to wear my pj's and slippers to school. And Brown Bear got to come to school too. Fun!

Sleepover

Luke and Davis were out of school last Thursday and Friday so we had the first sleepover with our neighbor down the street. It went well. There was even sleep!
