Friends, you will not believe how big I've been getting. Since my last update I taught myself how to whistle and snap. I can do them at the same time and to the beat of a tune. I still love my "tunes" and have my own playlist on the Itouch. I still beebop around with my headphones on. I listen to Kidz Bops 20 and a few current songs. I love Maroon 5 and Ke$ha. I've been watching some big kid shows like Power Rangers but now realize that those shows are a privilege that can be taken away when you act up. I keep getting better and more focused at soccer. Same with gymnastics. But I think I'm ready to give that up!

I love, love, love school. I'm learning all sorts of cool stuff. I can count by my 5s and 10s. I'm reading all my readers when they come home. Sounding out words and context clues are cool. I was second in my class to fill the "good neighbor" chart. I'm also becoming a more outgoing guy. I have lots of pals in my class. But, Travis and Jason are my BEST, BEST friends.

I'm also still a big help around the house. I pick up my pjs every morning. I love to help mom organize and pick up the house. I even ask for chores sometimes. This won't last so mom and dad eat it up! Davis and I are very clearly brothers. We are arguing and wrestling one minute and holding hands down the hall the next. I'm going to be a Ninja for halloween. Yep, you guessed it, I picked Ninja so I could get/use the nunchucks. Pics to come.

PS- in this picture I am eating ribs. That I ordered from the big menu. By myself. I like ribs that TC makes so I tried these and I liked them too! But ribs are a lot of food. So I ate half and took the rest home. Yummy!

Hi!

We are late on my update for this month! That's because we are so busy. So busy! We have been doing school twice a week, story time on Wednesdays, soccer on Mondays for me and lots of stuff for Luke too. I am pretty good at soccer. It's nice to have a big brother to watch and learn from! Speaking of, as Luke learns to count to high numbers and by 5s and 10s I am also learning. I even call out numbers on street signs to make sure Mommy knows the speed limit. I am making strides on my rewards chart. If I sleep in my bed all night, pick up my cup in the morning, and go potty without crying then I get stickers. If I fill my chart I will get a blaster gun! I'm not in a big rush though. I don't want Mom and Dad to get so spoiled. I love playing Ipad with Daddy every night when he gets home from work. We have an awesome Smurf Village going. I got to go dove hunting with Dad. It was my first time. I got to check out a dead bird and check out hunting safety. It has been so dry and hot around here we haven't seen many birds since. Maybe next season. I'm planning on being Commander Fox for Halloween. Mom ordered our costumes. Can't wait.

Davis

PS- I'm not scared of anything Halloween because I'm Davis Byman. (that's a quote).

Clowning Around

Mommy is on a craft kick. She makes me model her wares. This is really a wreath. She has a history of wearing funny things on her head and she is passing that on to me!
We LOVE Monopoly. This game was made for us. Only downside, it never ends! We save our places and play day after day. We like checkers now too. Board games are so fun.
Did you know there is a cool train depot and park in Alvin? We did not but we figured it out and played there this weekend. There is a decent burger place nearby where you can watch college football. Good times in this very nice fall weather!
It's festival, fair, bazaar season. We kicked it off with our church bazaar this weekend. We were there late and they kept us on this ride FOREVER. SueSue had to ride twice and I think she was dizzy for about an hour after the ride!
Our hometown team did pretty bad this year but we still enjoyed going to one of the last games. They played the Rockies and had a kids' fun zone that day. I got my face painted and Luke made a wax hand. Good times!

We have the best street!

We probably don't mention it enough on our blog but we love the street where we live. Mommy and Daddy picked well. We have the best neighbors and have made awesome friends here. We love to play outside in the FRONT yard. If we see any kids outside we beg to join them. We have wonderful block parties and tons of spontaneous frog hunts, kickball games, and baseball lessons. Even though we don't really know what it means to sell your house we hope Mommy and Daddy never want to move because we really like it here!

Hi again!

Yes, you are right, I have grown. I've had a growth spurt to finish out the summer. I'm pretty tall now. Not to mention all of my teenage sayings and mannerisms. But for the most part, I'm still a sweet 5 year old boy. Except for when I'm fighting with Davis or talking back! I do a little of that. I enjoy all of my "cooler" clothes and my Kidz Bopz tunes. I beebop around with my headphones on all the time. I like to listen to my tunes in the shower too. yep, I mainly prefer showers now. I'm totally loving kindergarten and all the challenges it is bringing: homework, reading, new friends, new rules and a new car pool. I've started soccer again. I'm on coach Colby's team and I scored my first goal EVER! My friends Travis, Sam and Jason are also on my team. I am very determined lately. I have learned how to snap and I am trying to teach myself how to whistle. Mom and Dad are really impressed because I don't normally sit still long enough to blink much less practice snapping and whistling. I'm also learning sight words and working my way through beginning readers. I could have cared less about reading in the summer but now I am all in!! I am also counting to 100 without missing a beat. Yay!!

Stay tuned for more Luke news next month.
