Mimi babysat me and Conner today. Conner was such a good kid that I even behaved myself. AND I took a 2 hour nap. Momma says Conner might have to come over more often.

The Baby Bunch

We got a group picture. Notice how some of the kids are looking at my Momma? She was quacking loud so that I would smile. All the other kids were wondering what the heck was going on.

This is Wrong. (But so funny). Veronica and Michael Patrick put Daddy's Eazy-E wig on me. It makes me look a lot more like Darla from the Little Rascals than a notorious gangsta.

My Date!

Sue Sue was ditching me for a girls' night at the Rodeo Cook-off. I got a good night kiss though. I am keeping my eyes peeled on Buddy's fish. Every once in a while they splash out of the water.

Just a Swingin'

Mimi and Buddy bought this swingset about 20 years ago! Momma, Tia and Sue Sue played on it all the time. Tia even broke her arm on it. Buddy bought a new baby swing attachment for it and I had to try it out. It works great.

Trip to the Golden Triangle

I FINALLY met baby James. He is already so big. He turns over and smiles big. He was the best dressed on our trip to Beaumont. Momma took me there to hang out with her pals from law school and all their kids (4 boys and 1 girl)!
We went to Hannah's house in Beaumont for the gathering. Hannah has lots of cool toys. It was an expensive trip for all of us because we are going to have to buy some of the toys we saw at Hannahs. I already have that game table but she had a cool front door set up that I played with most of the day. Who knew that opening and closing a door would be so much fun. It is! I've been doing it at home ever since I left Beaumont.
What up Keegan? I dig the camo pants. I wish I had worn mine, we coulda been twins.
Momma never lets me play with her glasses. No worries, Stacy hooked a brother up. She has cool shades.

Our first real toy casualty. As many of you know, Lady is totally blind now. Apparently she thinks this new disability excuses her from normal good manners. She thought wrong and had to spend the day outside thinking about why she attacked this little pup. Between me and you, I think Archie put her up to it.

Meet Jack Wright

I walked over to hang out with my buddy Jack Wright this morning. Our moms work together. His mom is still on maternity leave and Momma had to work from home today because Mimi had an appointment! I was teaching Jack how to stand up and he was trying to teach me how to nap peacefully.

P.S. For those of you who want to pass judgment about me having a paci in- hush up. I put everything in my mouth right now and the only way to stop me from eating everything in sight (and spreading my germs to other kids' toys) is to plug me with the "quiet button".

Welcome to the Church George Babies!

My Aunt Ahgoo came to town this weekend so that we could all go to the baptim of Presley and Jackson George. Now we are all part of the Catholic club! We went to Jackson and Presley's house after the baptism and had lots of good food and a fun visit. I really got a long well with Jackson's great uncle. He cracked me up! I can't wait to see the George twins again soon!

What's Up?

Hi everyone. I FINALLY feel better. I was sick for over two weeks. Its is great to finally feel better. My folks still feel pretty cruddy, but who cares as long as I am better!
Enough already, Momma. Everyone can tell that I feel better. In case you all were wondering where I am in these pictures, I went to celebrate my friend Julia's 5th birthday at Escalante's restaurant. It was a lot of fun!

7 Months Old

Wohoo. I am 7 months old today. I can crawl like a mad man and I can pull myself up on the couch and the bathtub and walk up and down them. Mimi says that I stood by myself on Friday but Momma and Daddy haven't seen me do it yet! You can see the start of my first tooth coming in too! I make lots of faces and I am a big fan of hanging out with my Momma. I eat lots of stuff like cereal, apple sauce, butternut squash/corn, mixed berries. I do not like any of the meat dishes or mac-n-cheese. Momma and Daddy think that is un-american. I bet I'll warm up to it soon. I am waving at everyone (and thing) and I LUV to play peek-a-boo. Looking forward to seeing some sunshine this month and to getting over my first cold. Happy early Valentine's Day!

For the Birds

I went to visit my Great Uncle Mike and MPTB and Veronica in Crystal Beach on Saturday. To get to Crystal Beach you have to take a ferry boat. Momma was a little nervous to ride on it after watching Gray's Anatomy on Thursday, but we were fine (not really, just wanted to reference GA on the blog). The ferry boat had a lot of birds behind it. Momma thought we should get a picture with the birds even if we are both sick as dogs and it was really cold and windy. Now Momma wishes she had not taken the picture because she looks a little rough.

Get in my belly!

I am 7 months old today. As I am getting older, I am making my demands known to my parents. Today, it became clear to them that I do not like to wear clothes at all. So, Momma finally let me hang out in my diaper. I ate carrots and my bottle in just a diaper, but because it is 43 degrees outside, I eventually had to put clothes on. Check out my tummy and my cankles.

Go Ride a Bike

Momma, Daddy, Farrell, Angus, Randy and Libby went for a bike ride today. Momma and Farrell rode 20 miles. They meant to do 30 miles but Farrell got a flat so they called it a day. Daddy, Angus, Randy and Libby went 40+. Daddy and Angus are tired. Momma and Farrell aren't so bad. The weather sure beat last week's ride (for commentary, please see Pollard Blog postings). Mom's feet were not frozen this time and she could feel her fingers the whole time.

Randy's wife Lynn and daughter Mary babysat me and my buddy Keegan. I was real bad and made Keegan cry. We could not even be in the same room at the same time. I think I need to spend some time around other kids for a while, I'll probably wait until cold/flu season is over though!

6 Month 3 Week Check Up

So, we finally got to go see the doc for my 6 month checkup. I have been patiently waiting to see Dr. Injac and he did not disappoint me! He said I was just perfect, even though I get up in the middle of the night. Apparently, my dreams might be waking/keeping me up. Dr. Injac said I passed all the developmental tests with flying colors. And, I can expand my diet to juice and combo meals. I weigh a whopping 20.0 lbs and am 27.75 inches long. 80-85% for both. My noggin is now in the 85%-tile so I am proportional. I got 3 shots and one oral vaccine and I'm a little sore. Time for a nappy nap! Word.

Blogging for a cure

On April 21st and 22nd, Allison and I are participating in the MS150 fundraising bicycle ride benefitting the National MS Society Lone Star Chapter. This ride will begin in Houston and will end in downtown Austin. We both participated in the event last year, but this will be Allison's first year as a rider instead of a support volunteer (they don't let pregnant women ride bikes).

Last year 13,000 riders raised more than $11 million dollars to help 17,000 Texans living with MS. My fundraising goal last year of $1,000 was quickly met and through the generosity of my friends and family, and I raised almost $2,000.

My experience last year was more rewarding than I ever could have imagined. I trained weekly with some of my closest friends and I also carried with me on the ride a list of names of the people that had pledged their support. Knowing that so many people were supporting me was amazing. I had planned to sleep in the truck on the way back from Austin but I spent the entire time pointing out to Allison memorable events that from the ride or landmarks that I had never taken the time to notice when driving before. I never realized how many hills there are between Houston and Austin!

Allison and I began training for this year's event last weekend with a 43 mile ride in 40 degree temperatures. We will log more than 1,000 miles on our bikes in preparation for this year's event. We are looking forward to this year's ride and are again participating with our good friends Angus and Farrell Pollard (see their blog in our links on the right). Mimi will be our support driver this year making sure that Luke keeps up with us along the way.

This year we will begin our fundraising efforts through the blog since this probably where we communicate with you the most. There are links below to both of our personal fundraising websites where you can donate using a credit card, or checks made payable to the National MS Society can be mailed to us at home. Any donations are greatly appreciated and we will post regular updates of our fundraising and training milestones.
