3 YEARS OLD

So, internet I've hit another milestone. 3 years old. I can hold up that many fingers to show you. I can also do the Gig 'Em, Hook 'Em, and Texas State signs. I am such a clown these days (no pun intended). I love making jokes and being silly. I also like to start all my sentences with the word "so". I had a great birthday party. My friends and family came (though we missed a few aunts and uncles). My Nana made me this super cool clown costume. I've been wearing it a lot. I've been to the beach a couple of times and have been hanging out with firends. I went to the Doctor and I'm 39 inches (90%) and 34.5 lbs (75%). Best part, NO SHOTS. Super cool. I'm soaking up all my swim lessons and am even going to a summer day camp this week. I'm still eating like a bird unless the food contains sugar or is frozen! I do not wear any pull ups anymore. Not even to sleep. Just try putting one on me and you will be sorry! I got lots of cool presents for my birthday so I'm trying them out everyday. I love space and dinosaurs and spend a lot of time playing with things that involve them. I really want to blast off into space but Mommy says I need to be a little bit bigger first. Hope you all are enjoying your summer as much as I am. Talk to you soon.

Welcome to the Carnival

Big Brother's birthday party was last weekend. We had a carnival. Complete with lots of balloons.

Step right up and take your picture. Here is Luke's friend Leila and her daddy.

Our friends Henry and Kirby.
Our silly neighbors- Mrs. Jenny and Mrs. Robyn.
Luke's friend Grace and her Daddy.
Luke waited until his friends left to open presents. This was not his idea but he was patient. Once he started opening he was super happy and very thankful. He got lots of super cool presents.

A Carnival Prize put to work.

One of our carnies. Check out Michael's mohawk and face paint.
Blowing out his candles. What a big boy.

"Tell me more William. Canon and I are all ears!" (and smiley faces).
No carnival is complete without the bounce house- and no, Luke did not jump with his sucker in his mouth. It was promptly removed.

Add Image A sample of some of the cupcakes Mommy made. Nana helped her decorate them. They were pretty cute.
The carnival as we were setting up. It was a great party. So much fun!

We even had face painting courtesy of Aunt Marsha and Nana.

Sweet Davis with his face painted. This look tells you how tiring this party was by the end of the day!

Davis- 14 months

It's me Davis here. My grandparents don't think that I talk on the blog enough so I am making sure to get a few words in. This month has been busy. I started my swim lessons and have already started going underwater. I love the lessons and the time with Mommy in the pool. I can demonstrate my skills in Mimi and Aunt Sally's pools. I am really starting to interact. I know my body parts and can point to Daddy's nose and Luke's tummy. My vocab is exploding. I can say: backpack, mommy, daddy, sue sue, tia, mimi, buddy, nana, pappy and shasha (marsha). I can identify and say Elmo and I love books about Elmo. I love playing outside. I enjoyed fireworks at the 4th of July. I eat with a spoon and fork. I haven't outgrown my bad habit of sleeping with mom and dad after 2am every night. I still have my paci stuck in my bottom lip. I love to cuddle and wrestle with big brother. Daddy is still my favorite. I call for him when I wake up and when I go to sleep. Mimi and Mommy are really just filler until Daddy gets home to hang out with me. Looking forward to an anwesome July. Talk at you soon.

Outdoor Digs- Happy Birthday to Me!

Look what we got- a new play set and fort. It is AWESOME. I keep telling mom and dad that.

It has a slide, ladder, 2 swings, trapeze, and a rockwall. The fort has binoculars and a ships wheel so that I can see pirates and steer away from them. So far, we have avoided all pirate danger.

Rockwall + birthday cleats from Tia and PacMan= obstacles.

Little brother got an awesome baby swing. He sits and chills in this bad boy.

Archie loves the underfort picnic table. Lots of shade under the benches to keep him cool. We all love it. Love it. BTW- the slide is crazy fast. It has a little bump in it and that propels you into the grass. I love it. LOVE IT.

It's the First of the Month

Yay- Davis started eating with spoons and forks. And, he isn't throwing his plates on the ground anymore either. He is getting so big.

I discovered sleeping bags. They are rad. You can sleep anywhere with one of these. I really like this one because if you sleep with your shirt off you stay cool on the fabric because it is shiny. Mommy wants me to note that the two bears I'm hanging with are Brown Bear and Browna in case she ever forgets how creative I was in naming my stuffed animals!
Mimi took me, Davis, Veronica, Michael and Jackson and Julia to the children's museum last week. It was fun hanging with the big kids.

Davis was really wanting Mimi's attention. She did finally give it to him!
No, I'm not bleeding or stealing Mommy's lipstick. Mommy made red velvet cupcakes as a tester for my birthday cupcakes. I licked the mixer beater and this is what happened.
Practicing shaving with my McQueen razor.

4th of July

Hey Friends. Davis here. Luke's been talking way too much and I wanted to take a stab at this blogging thing. Up top you see a pic of big brother and Michael testing out the superfly waterslide we rented for the 4th. We had a great 4th of July. Mimi and Buddy had a party at their house. Tia and Pac Man came. Sue Sue was their. Their friends were there and our friends were there. Conner and Caroline came. Thomas came. All the kids did the waterslide, swam in the pool, fished. We had hot dogs and hamburgers and so many other yummy, yummy treats. I of course ate all day long. I also decided to waste nothing so I started drinking all the leftover juice boxes and waters. When it got dark, Mr. Randy and his family came over to do fireworks. Lots and lots and lots of fireworks. Big brother had to wear noise reduction ear muffs but I toughed it out and really enjoyed it. I clapped and said OOOHHH. The fireworks lasted for about 15 minutes until a Manvel police officer spotted us through the open field behind Mimi's and came and ruined the fun. He had to give Buddy a ticket for lighting fireworks. He also had to confiscate the fireworks. Those that were not burned. So Mr. Randy decided to burn as many as he could before the police officer caught on. It was really funny watching the police man wait 4 whole minutes for the big box of fireworks to stop. You really couldn't help but laugh. Not all of the fireworks made it into the police car. We had a few sparklers and black cats left and used those Sunday morning. Once the fireworks ended it was night time for big brother and for me. All in all a great day. And if you ask Luke, "how was your 4th?" he will say "Great, until the cops came" and mommy says that is always the sign of a rockin party.

Marsha & Matt's Wedding

As promised, a recap of the wedding. Mommy was a deadbeat and did not take very many pictures. This is just about all of them. Bridesmaid and mommy duties took up most of her picture time. She hopes to steal some good pics from others for our albums! Here is the happy couple at the rehearsal.

Mr. Serious Davis with Uncle Rob. Davis says- I'm not serious, just stoic.
Here I am hamming it up at the rehearsal. There are so many pews in the church, it was like a maze. Davis was so short we kept losing him in the pews. He was busy stealing all the pencils and visitor cards.

Fast forward to the wedding reception. Sue Sue and Tia were our dates. Not bad!

Here is a horrible pic of hte recption. This pic does not do it justice at all- it was beautiful. Just like Aunt Marsha!

Aunt Marsha's Wedding

The head blogger has been really busy this summer. So busy she had to steal these pictures off of Aunt Marsha's Facebook account. But they are worth it don't you think? Aren't they a beautiful couple?

Who's the short guy up front? You guessed it- that's me displaying my mad rose petal throw. Check out that air.
More pics and details of what we have been up to coming soon (including an explanation of our run in with the cops on July 4th. Always a story).
