Nashie (and Tia) come to visit

Nash (aka Nashie) came to visit last weekend with Tia! They came to my soccer game, played with Michael and Veronica and had an ear measuring contest.

We address limitations head on. We were tired of not being able to use the gator in the dark. Problem solved- we duct taped two flashlights to the front of the gator. A whole new world out there. Watch out!

So the fam has always thought that Mommy had the smallest ears. Turns out, Sue Sue takes the prize (but Mommy thinks hers grew a bit while prego). After the contest, Tia measured all of our ears.

Party Time-Fun Filled Weekend

Of course these are out of order. Mommy will never fully understand Blogger. Two weeks ago we had an action packed weekend. First we had soccer, then Jackson M's reptile birthday party, then burgers and and dogs at Mr. Matt Reed's house followed up by Texans football watching. I'm tired just writing it all out here! Above is the picture of the crowd at Jackson's party.

And the gator...the funny thing is there was a big gator in the pond behind the house. It kept its eye on the new gator the whole time.

We had gator hats and even hunted for reptiles in the yard. There were like 400 hidden all around. I bet they find little snakes and lizards for months.

Big Brother had so much fun watching. He sat still the WHOLE time. He also pet every animal they showed. Lizards, tortoise, skink, gator, crocs...it was awesome.

Touchdown Texans...We sure get to say that a lot more this year.

This one was fiesty.

The birthday boy got to hold two snakes. A rat snake and a white black snake. They were all over him.

After the party we went ot Mr. Matt Reed's house. That is what we call him. We played and played and played there. Mommy wanted to take us back the next day because we played so well. We barely even talked to Mommy and Daddy!

We played make believe castle. Luke wore the crown for a while (I just played football mainly and carried swords). No comments on the princess-esque nature of the crown. It belonged to a girl!

And, in other news, this is the new way to occupy us. We just sit in the laundry room and blow up balloons. For hours at a time. Hours.

Luke- 51 Months

Hi all,
Well, it has been another month. I've been busy. I have school 4 days a week. FOUR. That is a lot. By Friday I am pretty tired. I'm doing soccer and gymnastics. I like them both. I'm still pretty reserved in soccer but we have some aggressive players so we have been winning some games and getting better every week. I have a new good friend in soccer, gymnastics and my class. His name is Travis and he also lives on my street. We are getting to be good friends and quite a force! I've helped Mommy a lot lately. I helped decorate for Halloween. I came up with a recipe and helped make it (Honey Seared Chicken). I asked to make and carried out a yummy pumpkin pie though I really don't like pumpkin pie it turns out. I'm bummed about this cooler weather only because I cannot swim at Mimi and Buddy's anymore. I tried in mid October and couldn't get past my waist. It was chilly. But, the cooler weather has been fun for festivals and pumpkins. More of that for next month's update.

Davis - Month 29

I'm baaack! Not too much has changed in the last month. I'm a wild child. W-I-L-D! I have been sleeping in my bed a little more consistently and have even received one prize- a light saber (what were my parents thinking?). I'm using the potty a little more but am not super convinced that is the way to go. Diapers really rule. I am liking school and the cooler weather. Still singing up a storm. I also like to verbatim repeat books. I've got my numbers up to 15 and all my letters down. I know how to spell my name and my friend Travis' name (b/c it is so much like mine, duh). I've been taking lots of pictures and playing the ipod games. I'm actually getting good at Plants vs. Zombies. I just wish I knew how to read the numbers better. I enjoy helping Luke with all of his inventions and am looking forward to Halloween soon. Talk at you later.

Aunt Sally Came to Visit

Aunt Sally came to visit this month. The last time she came Davis was not even born. We showed her our rooms, our toys and even how to play this silly egg game. Davis and I were in rare form.

Before our yummy dinner from Pei Wei Davis convinced Aunt Sally to hang out in the fort and then she even slid down the slide.

After dinner it was more games and hanging out before she went back to hang with Aunt Michele and that clan.

Just a snapshot of the choas we can create in a small amount of time. I'm pretty sure Aunt Sally slept well the night she came. It was so much fun. Hope to see you soon Aunt Sally.
