Happy Easter Folks

Happy Easter from our family to yours.

We did alright by the Easter Bunny this year. Puzzles, bubbles, mighty beans, undies and lots of candy.

Oh and chocolate bunnies. Delish.

Oh no, who made Nash cry? Come back cousin.

Ok, brothers only picture. Baskets down, hands at our sides.

Can't slow me down, I'm hunting for eggs.

We each found two golden eggs. SCORE.

Look at our loot. Good hunt today.

Davis raked it in. Not only did we get candy but we made a few dollars too (gold coin dollars).

Happy Easter! We had such a great day. We got Easter Baskets, had a wonderful day at Church with good music and then spent the rest of the day at Mimi and Buddy's house. It was a great day!

Confetti Egg Fight 2011

So you start with 30 dozen eggs...

and Mimi tells you some rules, boundaries and tips...

and then you get your eggs and get ready....

everyone can play....

and then it gets wild! Sisters vs. sisters.

Grandparents vs. grandchildren.

Wild aimless shots are also allowed. Confettie egg fights are so fun.

Ah, until you run out of eggs. Bummer.

But wait, no one or thing is safe. There are even confetti eggs with Tilly's name on them. (no animals were harmed in the taking of this picture).

But it is very possible that Michael Patrick was slightly harmed here!

Buddy was getting some sweet revenge on Veronica. I bet she gets him good next year.

Wow, even Ryan got his daddy. No holds barred with the confetti eggs.

The last woman standing with an egg. Until Buddy smashed it. Yep, I think Buddy is in for a double whammy next year. Watch out Buddy.

Thank you to Mimi for all the eggs. And thanks to Fred for taking all of our action shots!

Davis Easter Party

Mommy came to help with the Easter party in my class this year. We posed for a rare Mommy/Davis only picture. We both have a little cheese face working but at least it is a picture!

Prayers are always good but this was a special Easter prayer before our lunch. I have good prayer form according to Mommy. And I have one of the loudest voices for praying in my class.

I found an awesome gold carrot egg filled with starbursts. What luck!

Here is a shot of my class! I love my school and my classmates and my teachers.

After we did our Easter egg hunt we made these cool visors with our teachers. It was fun and we got to show our creative sides to Mommy.

Mommy also got to see me dress up in class. We have a big box of fun hats and accessories. I am a big fan of this hat.

A camping we will go...

So we finally did it. We bit the bullet and went camping. That was a first for Mommy, Luke and I. We went with the Kubesch family and Sue Sue and Tim (a blog mention of congratulations to those two on their engagement). This is a picture of our tent. It is plenty big for us. We had power at this campsite so we had a fan. Otherwise, we were roughing it (even though the bathroom building was the next space over).

We went to Double Lakes in the Sam Houston National Forest. There were some trails that we walked around. We could even ride our bikes there.
We saw lots of nature, like this long grass snake that Daddy held. We saw fish, butterflies, worms, and bugs. We also saw something called rednecks? Not sure what that was but I heard the grown ups refer to them a few times.
We had two big driveways and a little yard at our site so we had plenty of running room. When we couldn't find a butterfly to chase we just chased each other with Caroline's net. We had great food while we were camping and even got to use marshmellow rabbits on our smores.
The fishing and beach were great fun. We caught tons of fish on our fishing lines and using mussels at the beach. Daddy was a hit with that trick. Can you see how dirty I am? That was one of my favorite parts of camping...you can get so dirty and no one cares. But I didn't mind the showers. They weren't so bad. Even Mommy wasn't scared. She took like 5 showers in two days! I think we will definitely go camping again.

Luke- Month 57

Lots going on with me. Where to start? I finished swim lessons for a while and can't wait to get into a pool. I finished another session of gymnastics and can't wait to start again this week. I'm getting stronger and stronger. I can almost do a handstand and backrolls are coming faster and faster. I love tball and I'm quite the slugger and I'm working on my fielding. I am starting to shower by myself now, in my shower and downstairs. And I really do wash! I can't wait to go outside every afternoon. I love playing and riding my bike and scooter. I'm super excited that water gun season is upon us again. Swimming is right around the corner. I can't wait. I am now an avid bug and frog collector. I beg to stay up and find them every night. I'm a huge help to Mom and Dad. I'm even helping to potty train Davis. I like to help him pick out his reward cars. I help pick up and clean up after dinner. I just celebrated my 100th day at school. I really like school. I like getting caught being good. I get to wear a bracelet for a whole day. I like PE and I like learning new songs for the end of the year program. I'm looking forward to the Easter festivities and then Davis' birthday. We have a fun few weeks coming up. Stay tuned. Luke

Davis-35 Months

Ok internet, while it is not official I am pretty much potty trained. I am rewarded for number 2's with matchbox cars and a day without accidents is rewarded with ice cream. So far, I have a lot of cars and have had a lot of ice cream. I'm even accident free at school so far. I'm super stoked that I have a birthday coming up. I love talking to mom and dad about all the cool (and super far fetched) things I want at my party. I'm still taking my swim lessons. I love them and I am doing lots of things on my own like floating and gliding. I can't wait to play outside everyday. I like to ride, play with my light sabers and chase all the big kids around. I like taking pictures and making videos on Mommy's phone. I like learning new songs at school and then singing them to Daddy when he gets home from work. I like taking bubble baths now and don't even mind being clean. I still don't sleep great but I love reading books before bed, especially my bible stories. I can't wait for my party next month. Force be with you, DMB
