Rodeo Days at MCP

Mommy and Mimi hosted Rodeo Days at our school this year.  We got to pan for gold, dress up in cowboy clothes, brand a cow (with paint and potato mashers), have a campfire and race on stick horses.  It was a lot of fun! Yeehaw!

Luke-68 Months

Just call me Mr. Crawfish!
I found out that I like crawfish when we had a family boil this past month.  I got to see cousin Matthew and all my other cousins at the boil.  We also had some yummy veggies in the boil.  I liked the spicy corn.  I went to another musical this month (Riverdance) and Daddy and Mommy told us we are going to see Lion King this summer.  I got to see Daddy's company demolish a building, in three or four different sections too.  That was cool.  Lots of heavy machinery and lots of debris.  I started practicing with my tball team this month.  I think we might be pretty good.  We have a lot of sluggers on the team (including me) and two or three kids whose parents claim will make it to the MLB! I totally loved skiing this month.  Seriously.  I know, I know, I hated it last year and dreaded going this year but I had an unbelievably fantastically awesome time.  And, I'm pretty good at it.  After 3 days of lessons I was up and down the mountain with Daddy, Cade and Mr. Runyan.  We had a blast. My love of the winter sports comes from Daddy.  He is awesome at snow boarding.   I claimed to miss skiing the minute after we turned my skis in.  I received a stunning review in my kindergarten teacher conference and remain in the lead on the good conduct charts.  Only Rylee W. and I are that far ahead.  My carpool friend can't believe I've only had one card change all year (and that was for talking to him).  I still love my music and Turtle Man.  I also love chapter book mystersies like A to Z Mysteries and old Encylopedia Brown mysteries.  I think I get that from Mommy.  I'm looking forward to some awesome baseball games in the next few weeks and some cool Spring Break adventures. Davis 46 Months

Holy moly, what a month.  We went to another musical, Riverdance.  I only slept a little bit this time.  And I really liked the music and dancing.  We also went to a fundraiser at the St. Arnold's brewery.  That was cool.  We got to see the original Star Wars movie (episode 4) rereleased in 3-D.  I'm not sure what the hype was all about.  I told everyone it was just the same movie as the one I've seen 100 times before! We had a crawfish boil this month and I decided I'm not a very big crawfish eater.  We also made heart shaped crayon valentines for our classmates this month.  We got to peel and break all of our old crayons.  So fun.  This month, I've gotten in trouble less but that is because I have this pesky ghost that follows be around and gets in trouble for me.  He's always punching me in the face (and I make a funny sound effect when it happens).  The ghost also says lots of bad words.  Daddy has to put the ghost in the pantry during dinner just so we can have peace! I also went skiing for the first time this month.  I LOVED it.  But what I really enjoyed most was playing and eating in the snow.  Mommy and Daddy thought I would get used to it or even tired of the snow after the first few days but I was messing with it as we walked into the Steamboat airport to go home! I can't wait to ski again.  I'm looking forward to a relaxing Spring Break and some warmer weather.

Cousins and Crawfish

 Baby Matthew came to town.  It was so fun to finally meet him.  I tried to cuddle him and hold him as much as I could.  Don't we look cute together?

 Speaking of cute...Mary enjoyed her first corn on the cob at our house while everyone was visiting.  She was confused at first (and even swatted the corn when it would not cooperate) but she had it down, and enjoyed a few more cobs before the night was over!

 Daddy and his victims!  These crawfish were HARD to find.  He and Mommy had to drive all the way to Katy (thanks Mr. Angus) to pick them up.  The entire southest side of Houston was old out.  That made them all the better to snack on later!

Nash's Birthday Party and Wren's Visit to Town

 The Paczosas came to town.  We all got to get some good snuggles in with Ms. Wren.  Or Wrennie as we call her.  She is so cute and pretty calm for a Davison baby.

 To celebrate Nash's 2nd birthday we had a birthday party complete with number 2 pinata.  We even got to stuff the pinata the day before.

February Fun

 First Act of the Addams Family was hard on Davis!

 Some of our neighborhood boys! We love playing in our hood.  Such great role models.

 I had tball tryouts the first of the month.  It was a little intimidating but I did great and can't wait to start practicing with my new team, the Cincinnati Reds!!

 Mommy and I ran in the Winter Dash 1K Fun Run.  I ran almost the entire race and got a cool medal/dog tag when I crossed the finish line.  The other cool part is that the finish line was on a real track at the junior high.  Aunt Michele and Uncle Rob did a great job hosting the fun run.

 We also went to see Riverdance this month.  Before the show, Mommy and Daddy took us to Benihana, a Japanese Steak House downtown.  We had the most yummy food.  I ordered steak.  Davis had shrimp.  It was delish!

Mommy was trying to be festive this year.  She and Dad made heart shaped turkey burgers with buns that were supposed to look like conversation hearts.  Next year, she needs a smaller brush for her "conversation"!

Luke - 67 Months

Hola Amigos!

Hope you are having a great winter.  I've been a busy boy.  I finally met my cousin Wren this month and got to celebrate Nash's second birthday at Mimi and Buddy's.  I've been practicing lots of tricks on the trampoline and  working on my skate board skills.  I even went to a party at an indoor trampoline center.  I'm still very much into music.  I love listening on the iTouch but I now like watching videos and music shows like The Voice.  I also love watching Call of the Wildman, a show about a man named Turtle Man who catches wild animals with his bare hands in Kentucky.  I not so secretly wish that I could have Turtle Man come to my birthday party this summer.  I saw my first musical this month, the Addams Family.  I loved it.  I'm excited to see more plays and musicals in the future (that's foreshadowing, folks).  I hope our mild winter continues (and i hope it doesn't snow in Colorado because I'm not looking forward to skiing there in March).
