Weekend Fun Times

We went to Marshall this weekend to see Nana and Pappy. Mimi and Buddy came too. As a bonus, we got to see Aunt Sally and Uncle Floyd and the Runyans too.
Nana is getting bunk beds for me and my cousins but right it is just a mattress. Cade and I took advantage and broke the mattress in with some jumps.
Cade is so big-check him out on the sit and spin. Also note our super sweet Thomas the Train train whistles. All the cool kids have them.
On Sunday morning we took a trip to Pappy's farm to see the horsies and check out the terrain. Buddy made Mimi take a spin in the Ranger because he really wants one too!
Little brother showed Nana his mad scootin' skills.

Toot Toot, Chugga, Chugga Thomas the Train

THOMAS THE TRAIN IS IN TEXAS!
I could not wait to go ride on Thomas, but first we went to Nana and Pappy's house.
Before the ride, I had a little turn in the petting zoo and the bounce house. Fun, but not near as fun as Thomas!
Little brother hanging out with Pappy!
Little brother hanging out in the stroller too. He really loves sitting in the jump seat. It was so shady he had to wear his jacket too!

The fam, sans Daddy, right before we boarded the train.
Even brother liked the ride.

Slippery Little Sucker

Look what we found on the sidewalk outside last week? We think it was a garter snake but might have been something else. That is why he is in the cup. Mommy said it was cooler than a frog but was happy to let it go.

5 months or 5 years?

This is Davis' big boy outfit. Doesn't he look old? and big?

Hooked on Phonics Already!

On Monday, without any practice at home or with Mimi I started to say my ABCs. I guess that school really is teaching me something!

27 Months

Ahoy! It's me Luke. 27 months old! I'm still having so much fun and getting bigger and smarter every day. Here I am dressed up for Jackson M's bday party. Jackson, Keegan and I all had the same costume. That was fun. We all jumped together in the bouncer most of the day. As for an update, I'm back to school after the hurricane. I ask why all the time and demand real answers. I've started to sing a lot- real and made up songs. I love to go out to play with my neighbors. They are all so big and know how to have fun. I've been picking my own clothes and what I'm going to eat. I love kissing on my little brother and wrestling with Daddy. I've memorized a lot of my books and like to recite them to Daddy and Mommy. I am excited about Halloween (see pic above). I like to dress in my skeleton costume and this pirate costume. I've been doing so well with the potty training. I've gone multiple days without accidents. I even went to school with my big boy underwear. Yay! I'm turning into a rough and tumble boy and love being outside. Looking forward to a fun filled fall. See you next month!

Uncle Mike Turn's 60

Internet- Meet Uncle Mike! Mommy's uncle (Mimi's brother) turned 60 today! We had a party to celebrate. Here we were serenading him with the Birthday Song. I think he had a great day!
Uncle Mike got lots of loot. His kids (Michael Patrick and Veronica) were happy he got some new long pants since most of his were lost in Ike!
Davis and Mommy were at the party too!
Michael Patrick is sporting his Pink shirt for October. He checked out his dad's gifts too.
After the festivities we helped Mimi put up her Halloween decorations. I found this silly hat Mimi bought last year. Believe it or not, I really like it and wore it all the way home. Just call me Pumpkin Head!

Cousins

On Friday we went to eat dinner with our cousins. Davis and Ryan spent a little tummy together. Davis was scooting over to Ryan and Ryan was lifting his head to check Davis out every few minutes. They are both getting so big.

Head Colds

Hi again Internet! We have been in a cloud of congestion and snot at our house. Everyone has had a cold for the last week. Poor Davis still has it. I think I brought it home from school now that it finally started back after Ike. Mommy and Daddy were foggy all last week. They still aren't 100%. And Davis still has a runny nose. He hates to have it wiped or cleaned with the aspirator. Poor kiddo. I'm just glad I don't have it any more!!

Davis Month 5

no pics to post but we've been busy. Pics are soon to come...

Davis here. I had to go to the doctor for a checkup Doctor said I am doing great. I am right on track with my development. Scooting, chatting, drooling and trying to sit up. I still have to work on eating the rice cereal. I get so excited and starts gumming at the spoon but then don't follow through with the swallow. But who can blame me, that stuff looks, smells and tastes disgusting. I also have my first cold. No good.

I weighed in at 15 lbs, 10 ounces. My head is still big but in the range of normal (no swelling or any other scary signs). They didn't get my height because it wasn't a well baby check up but Mommy and Daddy think I'm getting longer every day. I still sleep great. I love to laugh. And, I light up like Christmas when I see my big brother. He actually made me crack up at dinner the other night. Mommy and Daddy couldn't believe such a little guy could laugh like that. They didn't even think brother was being that funny!

Talk to you guys next month!
