Well we don't have a picture of Davis alone from this weekend- you will have to settle for a picture of Momma with Davis in tow (I know- this doesn't help the 2nd child syndrome). Davis is doing well. He is growing so big. He went to the doctor this morning- he is 8lbs 14 ozs, 21.5 inches long and his head is in the 50%. He has grown 19 ounces is two weeks. Go Davis (and Momma, his food supplier). Davis spits up a lot. I say "spitting up" when he does it. I say "Crying" when he is and is not crying. His reflux is very audible. Momma has to hold him up for 30 minutes after he eats (and he still spits up). He sleeps pretty well and has lots of kisses every day from Big Brother. More pictures and Davis stories to come (in order to appease Lauren who said this blog was unfairly geared towards Big Brother at Little Brother's expense).

Busy Memorial Day Weekend
We were BUSY this weekend. On Saturday, we went to Mimi's house (our camera battery was dead-someone please send pictures). We swam and hung out with Mimi's friends Donna, TC, Regina and Jim. Tia and PacMan and Sue Sue was there.
On Sunday we travelled to Crystal Beach for the housewarming party for the Pollards. Keegan and I played so hard I had to take a bath before I left. We played with frogs, sand, the kayak. So much fun. I also got to ride on a big ferry boat (and wait two hours to get on it). On the way home, I saw Michael and Veronica.
Keegan and I could have played with the sand all day.

Brotherly Love
We really are this cute all the time. I've only scared Momma and Daddy once or twice. Little Brother lets me hold him every now and then and I do a good job.
Momma says I'm the only one who can get Davis to really stop crying. I have a special touch.

A Daddy Jacket
I wanted to go outside and play on Saturday morning. It was 58 degrees outside so I correctly asked for my jacket. Daddy was watching fishing and didn't want to get my jacket so we improvised.
Here is my Daddy Jacket with Cheese Face.
I'm trying to escape my Daddy Jacket while still smiling for the camera. I'm such a ham. So is my Daddy.

Davis - Week 2
Davis is out from under the blue lights. He is still a little yellow around his face but normal everywhere else. He is starting to keep his eyes open long enough for Momma to get a picture.
Here is his "Momma not another picture" look.
The prizefighter on his way to Target.

The many faces of big brother Luke
Here I am sporting my "cheese" face while cooking some cinnamon rolls with Daddy. Do you know how fun it is to say the word "cinnamon"? Also, so you see me sporting my mom's Aggie shirt? Daddy says no more shirts with pink writing.
I like to clap to add emphasis to my numerous good points.
My monkey face. Notice I push my ears in not out.
Just being cute.

Oldie but Goodie
Here are some pics from the Astros home opener. Luke had a great time.
Aunt Marsha came with us. I had fun moving from seat to seat. I ate a whole bucket of popcorn, some of Daddy's dinner and drank coke. How much better could it be?
I loved watching the "hop hop" mascot until...he got close to me.

22 Months
Oh my goodness- 22 months old! This is the best time yet. I am full of energy, vocabulary, good ideas and boundary pushing activities. I am still working on learning my colors, I can string several words together into sentences, and love counting (though I don't know all of the numbers or what order they belong). Daddy says I'm on fire these days. I love to play outside with my water table and my huge bucket of balls. I have hundreds of balls now. I put them in and out of the bucket at least ten times a day. Literally. We have been working hard on my sleep habits too and I now have a "nite-nite" chart to put stickers on when I wake up.
How cute am I? I love dinner. Everyone says I have a hollow leg. I love cereal, peas, hot dogs (and now I eat the bun too). I have to have my chocolate milk in the morning. I love donuts. I beg to have them.
Momma and Daddy are shocked at how big I am. It could be how I compare to Davis. I've starting using the big boy swing instead of the baby swing. I also have pee'd in the potty a few times. I am ready to start swimming at Mimi's house soon :)

High Bilirubin Baby
Yes, this is our Davis and yes this sight did make Momma cry when she first saw it. Davis has high bilirubin and has to lay in this tanning bed to boost his UV intake. He is being such a good sport. It makes us all a little sad but we know it is for a good reason. Hopefully he is out of the bed by Monday morning.
Here is a slightly less frightening picture of his accomodations- really not so bad, right?

Happy Mother's Day Momma
Here was my hand picked gift for Momma. A Barbie Mother's Day balloon. What every Momma wants.
Momma's first school crafts project present. She LOVES it.
Momma's gifts from Daddy and Davis. Daddy got her flowers and Drowsy Chaperone tix. Davis got her 4 Take 5 bars. He knows her so well.

Welcome Home Baby Davis
Davis and Momma came home on Thursday afternoon. The neighbors made this cool welcome sign to greet the family.
Our cousins came to visit in waves. Everyone got to hold Davis and play with me. Best of both worlds.
The Pollards came to see Davis too. Ms. Farrell held Davis outside to help with his bilirubin levels. We think Farrell got her baby fix for a while. Keegan and I played hard with all my balls and the swingset. We actually played together. It was cool to watch.
Cousin Kyle came to visit too. I worship Kyle and wasn't that happy about him holding Davis for any period of time.
Ashley has been over every day to play with me while other people play with Davis. Here she is taking pictures with my camera.

When Luke Met Davis
Luke came to meet Davis today. It was adorable. Luke was so sweet and impressed with how tiny every part of Davis was. Luke inspected his toes, his head, his tummy and his ears. He LOVED Davis' toes and did not want Davis to have to wear the "blankie". The only tense moment was when Davis wanted to nurse- Luke needed to supervise and did not appreciate not being able to sit on Davis to observe.
Brotherly Love- not the first smooch and certainly not the last.
Hold you Baby Davis? We still need to work on tihs one. Soon after this picture Luke abandoned the idea of Davis altogether and started playing with Momma's hospital bed. That thing is awesome- who needs bunk beds when you can have a moveable bed with rails?

Davis is here!!
Davis Matthew was born at 11:30 this morning. He was 20 1/2" long and weighed 7 lbs 13.4 ounces. Mommy and Davis are doing great and we thank everyone for all of the calls and messages. Davis weighs a little more than Luke did, but he's not quite as tall.

Davis Has Company
Aunt Marsha made it to see Davis soon after he made it into the world. She has a pic just like this with Luke from 7-11-06.
Sue Sue has a similar picture with Luke too. Sue Sue brought Momma a chocoloate shake so she is tops in Momma's book. Davis was taking a break from his serious nursing to be held by his aunts.

Another Update...
Still no baby Davis. Still no Momma in labor. Still nothing going on. But, we don't have to wait much longer- Momma will be induced tomorrow morning. She calls in to the hospital at 3 am and hopes they have a bed available. If so, she can go in as early as 5 or as late as 10:30. Yay!
Momma stopped working on Friday. Thank goodness. If she stopped any sooner we would probably need her bankruptcy services. She has been shopping every day since Friday. Some say "nesting". Momma and I say "shopping". Also, our house is getting organized. Again, thank goodness she only had a few days to tackle this task too. She is running Daddy and Mimi ragged with her request. BTW, who starts planning for a garage sale while 9+ months pregnant?
On another note- we have been having some gorgeous weather so we finally tried out Mimi and Buddy's pool. It is still a little chilly but that just makes you stay in the water more. I love playing in the pool with Daddy, Michael, Veronica and Sue Sue and can't wait for others to play too. Momma won't get in for a while- something about being cold and being fat not high up on her list of fun times.
Just in time for Davis to get here I have gotten my sleeping back on track thanks to some tough love from my folks. I didn't think they had it in them but just when I feel my manipulation has reached its pinnacle they shock me with some major self restraint gleaned from speed reading thousands of baby sleep books again. Thats ok, I'm like a whole new kid when I sleep through the night without waking up so I'll take it- at least til they bring that baby home!!
Stay tuned for pics of me and my little bro. Should be up in the next few days.
