People Daddy Likes

We stole this from Mrs. Farrell's blog. This is a pic from when we went down to Crystal Beach earlier this month. It was our first beach trip of the 2010 summer.

A little early...

Mommy came up to school to celebrate a big group birthday party. Mine was part of the celebration.

We had birthday hats, cupcakes, and chick fil a. 6 of us were celebrating. The cool part is that we get to have another party on my real birthday.

Luke-46 Months

Hidey Ho,

It is summer time! School is over. I am a swimming, talking, wrestling machine. I sleep until 6, ask for chocolate milk, watch my shows and then run Mimi around until she is walking in her sleep. Now that it is summer I beg to go swim at her house from the minute she walks in the door. I dominate my swim lessons. I am super helpful around the house too and this house can use an extra set of hands. I am so helpful I can even get out of the car (and yes out of my carseat) and open Mimi's gate at her house so she can drive through. Our DVD in the car broke so I am learning how to entertain myself (and Mimi and Davis) in the car. I am a baseball fanatic. I love batting, catching and throwing. I beg people to play with me all the time. Mimi and Daddy are the biggest suckers when it comes to playing. I can even throw the ball up in the air and hit it with the bat. I will show you sometime. I'm still a pretty picky eater. I like watching some oldie but goodie movies like Annie and Pete's Dragon. I can write my name (but sometimes switch the K and E) and I have created an art gallery in my room. I am still into Benny and Ruffio. I have lots of fun stuff going on this summer- birthday parties, zoo camp, VBS, beach trips. I will keep you posted.

Davis- 2 years

I'm 2 now. I still say that I am one but I am two. I'm so big I say that I am a Man now. My birthday was so fun and so was my party. I got tons of big boy gifts and hung out with tons of family. It was great. I'm starting to spend some time in my big boy room. I've taken a few naps in there and have been playing in there too. Once it is painted I will try to spend the nights in there too. I love my space theme and super cool star light hanging from the ceiling. I even have glow starts on my ceiling. I talk non-stop and like to make jokes. I have stopped the shrill screaming all the time but now I am more likey to bust into tears when I don't get my way. I think that works pretty well. I love singing to myself and now that I have been reading so much I even sing the words to the books we read. I ask tons of questions and want to know why everything is the way it is. I can count from 1-10. I'm not really scared or nervous to do something daring or riskly. I started swim lessons and love it. I love riding in the Gator at Mimi's with my big brother Luke. It's cool because I like to ride and Luke likes to drive. I like to have batting practice with Luke and Daddy and I can sometimes even throw the ball up in the air and hit it with the bat. School is almost over and I can't wait to party and to have a relaxing summer. Thanks for making these first 24 months so dang fun. Looking forward to many more fun times ahead.

Love,

Davis

They kept going, and going, and going.

I'm talking about my birthday festivities. They were many. It all started on my actual birthday. Daddy stayed home in the morning so that we could open presents. I got two big Tonka trucks from Mom and Dad and binoculars from Luke. Sweet.

Check out my dump truck. It can really haul a load.

Mimi brought me a birthday donut. I got to practice candle blowing.

For lunch that day, Mommy came to school and brought me and my classmates a cookie cake. It had a rocket on it. It blasted off into our tummies.

Here we are eating our lunches before we got to have cookie cake. Mommy has always wondered how we all eat together without incident.
Then, I got to have my PIRATE PARTY. I partied so much before it started at 10 that I had to have a snack at the start of the party.

Daddy made a Walk the Plank for my party. You had to balance above scary snakes and crocodiles. Here are two pirates tempting fate.

Argh, my pirate brother was quite a scene.

All my friends and cousins could dig for treasure in our beach. X marked the spot of some cool stuff.

Look who came to my party- cousin Nash. He is so tiny (not really, but I like to say that!)

Check it out. I had cupcakes and a cake. Lots of chocolate for this pirate party.

A family pic after I blew out my candles. Big brother is hamming it up!

Me, being sweet, eating my cupcake.

After my friends left and the cake settled we opened my presents. I got great stuff, including a kickety kickball set.
After the party died down, big brother and I decided to use the face paint to paint our whole bodies. We painted our legs, toes and tummies. Overall, I had a great pirate birthday and wonderful second birthday overall.

Spring is in the Air

We have been soaking up this pleasant weather. We know it won't last for long. We've had BBQ's, picnics, trips to the park, trips to the zoo, lots of baseball games, and have even taken a dip or two in the pool.

When it is too cold to dip in the pool you can alway spractice casting.

It was really c-c-c-c-old in there. In this pic I am sunbathing. When it is cloudy, I call it moonbathing.

My first canonball of the swim season!

We have even taken a spin on the trampoline, it was warm enough that we needed a little hose off. Hope we can have one or two more weeks of this good weather. Don't you?

Contraband

When we get in trouble with our toys Mimi takes them and puts them on top of the fridge. Every few weeks Daddy takes the banned toys down and lets us play with them again. Today, the loot consisted of a sword, a bat, a hatchet, 2 guns, a stick horse and a snow globe. Bet you did not know you could get in some big trouble with a snow globe!
