Party on!

We both had great fun at our end of the year parties.  Luke's was a luau themed shindig that lasted for hours.  He had so much fun!
And he got to sit by his BFF Jason!
Here I am with the best teachers of 3 year olds.  I love these ladies and really wish they would move up to teach pre-k next year.
I also loved the calendar and wanted a picture with it.  It was the only thing I wanted to remember from my class.  Word!
Boys picture.  We have the best classmates.
Luke was the hula hooping champion.  He got a prize paddle ball.  He also got a cool shirt that all his friends signed.  So fun!

Yay for SUMMER!

Kindergarten A...Done!

Marching in is kind of embarrassing!
We got to present our fun facts from Cultural Day.  I talked about the 246 species of fish in Greece and the thousands of islands and 3 seas that surround Greece.  Fun facts.
I love my kindergarten A teachers.  They are the best.  I'm really going to miss these ladies next year.  So is Mommy.
My whole class.  What a great bunch of friends. The funniest part of this graduation was when we all sang He's Got the Whole World in His Hands and knocked our neighbors hats off every time we gestured about the "whole world"!
My brother is so proud.  He brought me a balloon and sour worms.  That's love.
Family graduation picture.   Mommy can't wait to recreate this with my high school and college pictures.  She must not think Davis is going to grow much, otherwise she might have posed differently.  In all seriousness, our family has loved MCP and Mommy is sad to see me leave this nurturing, safe environment.  I say, bring on kindergarten B!

Reds vs. Moms

My coaches had a genius idea.  The kids play the moms in a mostly friendly game of tball.  Let the trash talking begin! I let mom know she was going down! I even wrote it in my journal.
This is my "you are going down" look.
Group smack talking was really taking place on each side.   Right about now the mom's figured out they had to use our short bats.  Ha, ha, ha!
Mommy actually had two good hits during the game.  By good, I mean, she didn't strike out.  Or get thrown out.  So, she didn't embarrass me that way.
Look at that.  Mommy is baseball ready.
Oh Man, I could not stop the trash talking.
All the players! What a fun event.
The moms played a great game.  And, were really great practice for us because after playing the moms we won our last, regular season game.  We were totally prepared.   What a great idea Coach Garret had!

Davis and the Arizona Diamondbacks

Getting ready to bat.  I brought my own batting helmet.  These other kids, amateurs!
Coach, please let me measure up.  I have a pre-hit ritual and you are totally in my way.
I'm totally about to score.  And I will probably try to slide too.  We only have so many games.
 I got it!
 Big hit.
And I'm totally baseball ready!  I love tball. Can't wait to play Fall ball.  Wait, is there summer ball? I would so play summer ball. Someone ask my mom and dad about that please.

70 Months

OMG y'all, I'm a big kid.  70 months.  That's close to 6 years old. Almost.  Lots of good stuff going on this month.  I'm still loving tball.  I am working on loving piano.  I don't mind the lessons at all but UGH practicing is kind of a pain. I made the swim team and started practices.  Not sure what I think about swim team yet but practices are not bad.    I love playing outside, riding my scooter, and just getting sweaty.  I had the best time at Davis' Nerf gun party but I am having the hardest time coming up with the kind of party I want to have.  Any ideas? I'm sad and excited that school is over soon.  My class is going to have a graduation ceremony and a party.  I'm crazy about A-Z Mystery chapter books.  I ask Mom and Dad to read them almost every night.  I did a project on Greece this month and took olives and hummus to my class's Cultural Day.  I love hummus. And Pei Wei, it is still my favorite restaurant.  I like making silly faces, silly dances and silly sounds.  I can be pretty silly when I want to be.  But I still have a very tender heart and I'm working hard at explaining what I'm feeling instead of melting down.  I miss Mommy and Daddy when they are gone during the day and am so happy when they are home.  I try to keep Davis in line and am getting better at fighting back.  I'm looking forward to summer time, frog hunting, lots of swimming and maybe even sleeping in.  Yep, I'm sleeping well past 7 a.m. now.  Probably because I do so much growing at night.  I'm going to be taller than Mama soon!

Stay tuned,
Luke

I'm Four!

Did you hear that? I'm 4 now.  Finally!  As for 4th birthday stats, I'm 45 lbs and 41 inches tall.  My head, hearing, eyesight and boy parts are all perfect.  I got a ton of shots at my check up but good news, no more shots until I'm 11.  yay!  As you can see above, I will do anything for a good picture.  Something has to make trips to Ikea worthwhile!  I'm finishing up tball in the next few weeks.  I really wish we had played more games.  I think I need to move up to Dad's Club next year.  I'm also finishing up school soon.  I hate that.  I LOVE going to school.  But I also like staying home some days too.  You know why? Yep, because I love playing Wii Lego Star Wars.  I am going to beat that game soon and I just got it for my birthday.  Mom and Dad limit my playing time. And good thing, because if they didn't my brain would totally melt out of my head while I played for hours on end.  I like to go outside and play too but only for a little while.  Eventually, I can wear Daddy down by asking him over and over when we can beat the next level.  I know Dad's secret, he likes the Wii too.   I've had a few dips in Mimi's pool so far and can't wait for it to get warmer so I can practice swimming.  I'm excited for Muffins with Mom and Donuts with Dad at my school.  I have some cool gifts to give my folks.  I still love my Star Wars action figures.  I call them "my guys!"  I'm a little OCD about my footwear lately.  I really only want to wear my Commander Fox tennis shoes that are already too small.  I can be convinced to wear my slip on croc like tennis shoes but then you better pray that I don't get sand, dirt or sweat on my feet because I will go monkey mode.  Seriously!  I'm ready for some good frog hunting, swim parties, and a trip to Nana and Pappy's in the next few weeks.  Don't worry, I will keep you posted on all my adventures.

Davis

4 Years Old!

I had my Nerf Gun party the day before my real birthday! It was so fun.
My brother and I were geared up and ready to go!
We had lots of shooting games.  There was target practice.  (Mom says, props to Pinterest for all the great party ideas!)
You could shoot army men.  They go pretty far when hit with a nerf bullet.
You could should cans.  Cans are a little heavier so they don't go as far, or fall as easily!  Aren't those pretty cans? We spray painted them and decorated them with stickers! Fancy cans (again, thanks Pinterest)!
Everyone at my party got to decorate an ammo bag, put on eye blacks and load up with foam bullets!
I'm totally ready to go here.
Mom and Dad set up a "war course" on the driveway.  There were lots of places to hide and reload but lots of open space for shooting.
Even Dominos helped with the party planning.  Yep, my pizza had a bullseye!
 Yummy!
Here is my super cool cake.  It was so good and exactly like I wanted it to be.  Those bullets are actually made out of icing.  Super sweet, kind of inedible sweet.
I'm so happy! Can't tell you my wish though. It won't come true.
It was a friendly war.  Girls, boys, parents.  So much fun.
Star Wars! I got lots of good Star Wars loot, some super cool legos, Wii games, a DS3D and so many other cool things.  I'm playing with all of my new toys everyday!  Thanks everyone for a great 4 year old birthday party.  Long live Nerf!

Do you croquet?

Wren does not croquet but she loves to smile!
Mimi, Buddy and Luke are mad croquet players.  Or as Luke would say, "sweet" croquet players.  And by sweet he means good.
Changing of the John Deere guard.  Luke hung up his pedal power.  This baby is driven by me now.  Nash is the new passenger!
Did we mention Buddy turned 60?
Nash may not play croquet but he is catching on quickly to the confetti egg fight strategy.
Me, I'm chill.  And no, I don't play croquet.  But while you are not looking I will pull up the wickets or drive the gator straight through your game.  No joke.

Happy Birthday Buddy!

Buddy had a super cool 60th birthday where we played games, ate yummy food, and saw lots of friends.  And of course, there was a photo booth.
Buddy got a croquet set, lawn jenga and played horse shoes.  He's a gamer.
 Family photo booth fun.
 Silly party guests!
Luke and I picked out the props.  Luke loved this blue wig.
The birthday boy.  This picture was supposed to be up top but blogger had other plans! I promise he had a good time at his party!
I know I had a great time! (even though I stabbed my hand with a skewer...but it really didn't bleed much, weird).
Daddy was fishing that weekend so this will have to suffice for a family picture! Happy 60th birthday Buddy!
