One step away from hot links

My East Texas roots are showing through. Mimi and Daddy fed me summer sausage yesterday. Momma thinks summer sausage is disgusting. She blamed Daddy for even having it in the house. I loved it. Loved it. This just scares Momma. Now she is sure that I will love frogs and olives too!

NYC

Momma and her best pal Leigh went to NYC last weekend. She said they had a blast. She was homesick for the last few days because she missed me so much. I paid her back by greeting her with a complete blank stare! She felt like a deadbeat. Bet she won't leave me again for a while!
Momma and Leigh stayed with Leigh's sister Audrey. Audrey led them around to all sorts of cool places. This shot is from the "Top of the Rock". They shopped until their feet almost feel off. They also saw Wicked. Momma loved Wicked and now keeps playing me the music as we drive around in the car. I think my favorite tune is Popular. What a song.
Just a little learnin' for you all. Did you know that 15+Korean couples get married on Mondays in NYC and then come and take their bridal protraits at Central Park. It was quite the site. Momma had to ask and she found out why all those brides were there. Better than guessing. Just in this one pic you can see two of the lovely ladies.

Happy Birthday Momma!

My mom turned 29 (for the first time) on St. Patty's day. As a present I let her put this silly hat on me.
I've just about had enough of this hat.
Buddy wanted to see my hat. I gave him about 5 seconds.
Momma had some friends over for dinner. Aunt Donna and TC prepared song sheets with lots of Irish tunes. Everyone got to sing, even baby Conner.

8 Months Old

Wow! The past month has been busy and sickly. I have had my first cold and my first stomach virus. Yuck. I survived both and made out looking like a million bucks. I am still crawling around like a mad man. I am fast. I can climb stairs now. I can also open cabinets. Within the last week or so, I have started to stand up without holding on to anything. I don't do it for long, but it still counts. I have two teeth, both on the bottom. My two top teeth are coming in but haven't broken the surface yet. I have tried lots of grub now- pancakes, toast, baby yogurt, grapes, mac-n-cheese, and french fries. I give kisses and wave bye-bye. I have had some bumps in my sleeping routine, but we are trying to get back on track. So, as you can see, it has been a busy month but lots of fun too. Can't wait for my 9 month birthday...

My 8 Month Bday

What a busy day. I saw my Mimi and Buddy. I saw Keegan and met all of his grandparents, even the ones from Chicago. Then, I went to swing at the park by Keegan's house. While we were there, I decided to try to eat some grass. Momma kept saying "No" but I snuck some in.

Mr. Mischievous

Being naughty is so much fun. As you can see, I crack myself up!
Now that I am old, big and mobile I can get into all kinds of places. Today, I showed Momma and Daddy that I can open cabinets and pull EVERYTHING out of them. Tomorrow, Momma and Daddy are going to show me how to fold blankets.

More new friends

While we were in Dallas this weekend I went with Daddy to meet Jake and Josh. They are Justin and Jenny's kiddos. Daddy grew up with Justin and Moma knew Jenny and Justin in college. We all had breakfast together at a pancake house in Plano. I ate pancakes and hammed it up with my new friends.

Poor Momma

I was a naughty boy and gave my Momma my nasty stomach virus. She thought she cleaned absoultely everything but she was wrong. My germs are pesky and pervasive. Those germs were so sneaky that we made it all the way to Dallas before Momma figured out she was sick. She only made it to about 5 minutes of the rehearsal dinner and then had to race back to the hotel. She missed breakfast with our friends, the wedding and the reception. Momma was so worried Daddy was going to get sick too that she called in reinforcements. Mimi came to Dallas to take care of me and drive us all home in case Daddy could not make it. So far Daddy is still doing ok though. Lucky dog.
This is my future playboy pose. H-E-L-L-O Ladies...

My first wedding

I made it past my nasty stomach bug in time to make the trip to Dallas for Pete's wedding. Pete was my Daddy's roomate for two years while Daddy was in the corp at A&M. Momma and Daddy have lots of fun (and interesting) memories with Pete. Pete married Amanda. She looked beautiful and was so happy. All those other tall guys up there in the monkey suits are Daddy and Pete's college buddies. It was fun to meet them all.

Poor Baby

Sorry there are no pics of me from this week. I've been busy and now I'm sick. Last weekend Nana and Pappy and Aunt Ahgoo came to Houston for a visit. Aunt Ahgoo is moving here soon so she had to get an apartment and stuff. Momma and Daddy went on a bike ride and Nana and Pappy watched me. On Tuesday my Mimi got sick. She was in a bad way. On Wednesday I was supposed to get the second part of the Rotavirus vaccine, but the doctor's office ran out. What? Then, on Wednesday night, I got the Rotavirus. I threw up a lot. It was horrible. It is really tough to puke when you are only 7.5 months old. It was hard on my parents too. They were sad for me and very tired. Poor Lukester. Today I have thrown up only twice but I have other issues. Momma called the doctor- they said it is contagious so Momma and Daddy are waiting to get sick. We are all supposed to go to Dallas this weekend for a wedding so should be fun....

Mimi's Stand In

Mimi had to go see Veronica in Galveston last week so Momma's Aunt Linda came to babysit me. I was pretty rough on her at first- I pulled the "I can cry all day" bit. She tried all kinds of tricks to make me stop. I finally let her win. It is more fun that way.

My First Duck

I was doing duck calls last Thursday and look what flew in?

Hobo Baby

Who dressed this kid? Last week I wet thru my pjs and so Momma let me wear one of her old tshirts. It made my feet cold so Momma put socks on me. One foot got hot so I took that sock off. Oh, and I like to wear baseball caps so I put one on for good measure.
