Luke's Preschool Graduation

I finished preschool last week. We celebrated with a program called When I Grow Up. We sang lots of cool songs like God's Army, Off to Kindergarten, and Sing for Spring. I am on the back row, second from the right.

Here I am with a final pic from my awesome teachers, Ms. Debbie and Ms. Abrin. They were such cool teachers. They made me an awesome DVD with all the pictures from the whole year. I also got a picture book and backpack.

Our party was an indoor pool party. We played limbo, musical chairs with beach towels, we made visors, and each signed each others inner tubes. It was a lot of fun. But, we took a second for one final picture of the whole gang. Can you believe that none of us (except the twins) are goign to the same Kindergarten next year. Kind of a cool statistic about the kids in our school. We are from all over Brazoria County!

The boys. All the girls left early. We hung out and acted silly for a little while longer! Pre-K was a great, fantastic, awesome year. I can't wait for kindergarten at MCP next year.

58 Months

See how big I am. My 4 year old clothes hardly fit. I'm like a little giant! I don't have an official check up but I weigh 48.5 lbs and I am at least 45.5 inches tall. I am busy as an almost 5 year old. I just finished up tball. I am about to finish up Pre-K (see above). I am doing gymnastics still. I am not officially in swim class anymore but I am swimming like a fish and practicing my strokes with Daddy. I love playing with my friends, watching tv shows on Nickelodeon, and playing outside. I play a game in the car every day, I spy Avalanche. I look for a certain kind of truck (the Chevy Avalanche) and when I see it I scream out Avalanche. I don't know how many are in your neighborhood but there are TONS where we live. Tons. The game starts over everyday so there is always a competition. I am very in tune to God's presence in my life. I acknowledge that I have 2 best friends, Travis and God. I acknolwedge that I have the coolest "x, y or z", except for God's "x, y, or z". I really enjoyed Davis' birthday party and I have brainstormed lots of ideas for my birthday party: glow in the dark party (Mommy said no rave's until I am much older), bike party, bowling party, craft party, cooking party. My options are pretty wide open. I am also taking suggestions! I'm looking forward to my camps this summer and getting to swim and play. Until next month.

Guess who is behind that door? You guessed it, Archie. Those rabbits are taunting him just like he taunts them. Lots of safety in that door!

36 Months (3 years old for all the math geniuses)

So I hit the big 03 this year. As you can see below we celebrated with a super Jedi party. I'm still big on Star Wars and got lots of related gifts for my party including some super awesome pop up books and lots of light sabers.I weigh 39 lbs and I am 37.5 inches tall. I am totally potty trained. No real accidents but I am still working on my aim. I'm still pretty fiesty at age 3. But it is not the whining, crying fiesty. It is the sneaky, punch you in the face kind of fiesty. I'm just testing boundaries but I am getting in trouble a lot too. That said, I'm very sweet most of the time. I have an adorable voice that I use when I am trying to get something that I want (like dessert or quarantined light sabers). I still love to read my Bibles but I alternate them with lots of other cool books. Funny story: when I was opening my bday presents I got a bookmark from Sue Sue and Tim. I called it a Bible Card! I like playing with all the Star Wars figurines that we have and the lego sets. I can come up with endless missions for all the guys. I've starting coming up with nicknames for people and Mom and Dad are coming up with lots of nicknames for me, like D, Davis on a Stick, and Dave. My swimming is really improving. I'm ready for the pool to really warm up so I can get some quality practice. I like singing so much and I'm even learnign all the songs for Luke's preschool graduation. I still love wrestling with Dad and Luke and cuddling with Mom. So far, I think being 3 is pretty cool. I will keep you posted if anything changes.

Jedi Party Time

My birthday party was this past weekend and it was awesome. Of course, it was Star Wars themed.

My deeelish cake. Chocolate with chocolate filling. Blue icing was everywhere but it was so good! And yes, that is R2-D2 and Luke Skywalker taking on Darth Vader on top of the cake!

Part of our party favors were these cute cookies! My friends also got Star Wars stickers and glow necklaces.

Lots of family and friends came to my party. I'm pretty sure I have a pic just like this from last year. Fun to compare!

As part of the party, my friends and I made lightsabers out of pool noodles, duct tape and stickers. I napped right before the party so I am still kind of waking up in this picture. But I am rocking my light saber and totally awesome Star Wars t-shirt.

My friends Keegan and Finn were at the party. Keegan made a light saber too.

Here is the light saber construction area. We went through almost two whole rolls of duct tape at the party. I don't think mom or dad has ever finished a roll before this weekend!

I lightened up as the party went on. I took on many opponents with my lighsaber and jedi skills. But it was all in good fun, because it was just a pool noodle.

Even the Jedi need a break for food. After a snack we used the "force" to find Princess Leia who was hiding in our backyard. I can report that she was safely rescued by many jedi fighters.

We had a Darth Vader pinata but it only made it through one hit bfore it broke apart. That wasn't even long enough for Mom and Dad to get a picture. But, that didn't stop us from quickly grabbing up the yummy candy.

And, after we had our candy we were still able to use the force to attack Darth Vader.

Then we were inside for cake. Yummy, delish cake!

I opened my presents in Jedi garb. It just felt right! Thank you everyone who made my birthday party so special. And thank you to Mimi, Aunt Michele, Veronica, and Michael Patrick for the pre-party help you gave to Mom and Dad! Can't wait to play with all my presents.

Astros 2011- Our first game

We did not make it to the home opener this year but when Nana and Pappy came to town we went to see a game against the Brewers. We were celebrating the big news....I am POTTY TRAINED. Because of my efficient use of the potty for more than two weeks without an accident, Daddy got us baseball tickets! Neither the Astros or the Brewers are very good this year but we had great seats for some big homeruns that came right by us. Unfortunately, the Brewers spanked the Astros bad.

See, we were only 6 rows up from Hunter Pence in right field.

Luke was so excited to be at the game. He got a wooden bat and of course, ice cream, cracker jacks and sprite! Thanks to Nana and Pappy for the bats!

Daddy and I had all that sugar too and look how silly we were being. It was a beautiful night for baseball. The roof was open, it was cool outside and even a little windy. We made it to the 8th inning and sang during the 7th inning stretch. It was a lot of fun. Can't wait to go back.

T-ball continued

So our season is finally over. But boy was it fun! Here we are saying the YMCA pledge. We Cardinals are good sportsmen!

And here is Mommy, the Dugout Mom. We all had a great season and learned a lot. I'm not sure how I feel about playing another season but Mom and Dad and Davis hope I stick with it. They love baseball.

Backwards, Inside Out, Unusual Day

PreK is so fun. We do all sorts of fun things. Recently, we had backwards, insie out, unusual day. We could dress silly and that is just what I did. We also had our schedule backwards. We ate breakfast for lunch too. And, I got my first red conduct cut because it was backwards day. (Sidenote, I have green conduct everyday. EVERY DAY!).
