Momma and Daddy say that I am a big boy now. They keep saying that. So, I guess I am. I went to the doctor last week. I weigh 26lbs, 11oz (50%). I am 34.5 inches tall (90%) and my noggin is 19.5 inches (90%). The doc is impressed with my language development and says my eczema is doing better. No shots this go round! I am a fan of that.
So, as a big boy, you get to move into a big boy room. I love my big boy room. This is my bed. I sleep on the bottom bunk. In fact, I don't really know what is on the top and there is no way for me to get up there right now (to be completed at a later date!).
I have airplane covers and all my good buddies sleep in the bed with me: Elmo, Thomas and the teddy bear. It is bigger than my crib but I have rolled off twice. The first time was the first night. I hardly knew I wasn't in the bed. Then about a week later I called out to Momma in the middle of the night. She came upstairs to look for me but I wasn't in the bed. I wasn't in the closet. And I wasn't in the bathroom. Where was I? Under my big boy bed. This scared Momma a bit (a whole freaking lot). But I was fine. I was looking for my paci or maybe Elmo and that is where my hunt took me! Since then it has been nothing but mattress for this big boy!
This is the rest of my big boy room. We still need some wall coverings and to finish my beds but otherwise I love it. My zebra make it pretty awesome too. I love to get a few bounces in before bed and before I get dressed for the day.

Momma and Dada- COOK!
COOOOK! Never have I uttered a word with such conviction. I'm serious about some cooking. On this particular night I was making some yummy macaroni with ice sauce for my folks. Macaroni is a particularly hardy food for the "COOK" pastime.

Where Dada?
Every day when Momma gets home I say- Where Dada? Today was no different. When Dada got home, he showed us where he was today...
This is what I call "High"!

COOK
I've got my commands down. Eat was first. Now COOK. Cook means I want to stir, mash or mix something. Last night, instead of eating dinner, I wanted to Cook. Because my parents were starving and not up for a fight- they gave in. I was handed a bag of lettuce and an empty bowl. Momma and Daddy thought I would just move lettuce around. HA. I mixed in some apple, some velvetta and some "maters" for a masterpiece.
Here you can see the cheese and apple in the bag and the lettuce everywhere. Daddy had to put Lady outside because he didn't want her to throw up lettuce all night!
This is me showing the audience how to add a cherry tomato to the apples/cheese mix. BAM- just like that.

Here Fishy, Fishy, Fishy
Momma and I fished for a while together and did not catch anything. I'm sure this is because we did not have bait but that is beside the point.
I moved on to fish with the pro. One cast, two seconds holding the reel, and voila- I caught a whopper. Look closely and you can see it in the water here.
I told you it was a whopper.
Buddy loves it when we catch fish out of his pond. He thinks my whopper was so big because he feeds his fish cat food every day!

The New Addition
Not a Byman addition-this is Tilly Davison, Mimi and Buddy's new dog. It is not a pitbull- it is a mix between a lab and a sharpei. She is a good dog- so far.
Check her out- she is only 14 weeks old. I think she might be pretty big.
Katie does not know what to think yet. One thing she does know- that Tilly is very active.

Children's Museum
I had a playdate with Ben at the Children's Museum last weekend. We had a great time playing in the cars and with all the toys.
It got crowded and I got sleepy so I did not get to see all the parts of the museum. We went to eat afterwards and I almost feel asleep in my cotton candy. That stuff is gross. Momma promises to get a picture of me and Ben together next time around.

The Artiste
I drew Momma a pretty Valentine- with my favorite color- Black!
Someone gave me tub crayons in my goodie bag from school. Momma had no idea how much creative energy I had to display in the bathtub.
Check out my bathtub graffiti- impressive?

19 Months Old
Another month behind me. It was a good one! I have made some huge strides this month. I am a talking machine. I say lots of words and can put a few together to make phrases. I can say "Momma Eat", "Mimi Go", "Archie," "Lady". I am learning more colors- I now know and say Orange, Blue and Black. Black is my favorite color. I scribble black over everything you draw or color. My favorite song is "The Wheels on the Bus" and I can do the hand movements. I've got rhythm- don't know where I got it- but I jam out in the car and anytime kids music is on. I can make it up and down the stairs much faster. Momma can't/won't carry me anymore. I haven't really developed a taste for new foods- I still like all my favorites but I do call cereal "breakfast." I love to play with my kitchen and pretend food. I can make Mimi or Daddy sit with me for hours and "EAT". I know when we are getting closer to Mimi's house or my cousin's house. I cheer when we get there. I love to play with my cousins. They play all day. School is still really fun for me. I get stamps everytime I go. We even had a Valentine's party and I got lots of goodies. Momma and Daddy have been working on my "big boy" room. I love to run in there and play right now. The beds come soon. My gameroom is also close to finished. I use the gameroom a lot now and force Daddy to play Wii with me. I'm good for about 3 minutes of Wii tennis and then I lose all interest. As you can see, I got my first bike. I don't totally get it but at least I can move forward on it (I only go backwards in my car). Daddy is teaching me how to use it and is thinking of getting me a motorized vehicle soon. Daddy and I have also been doing lots of home improvements together. My tools come in so handy. I bet I will help him a lot more in the coming months. Speaking of that- I still don't know what a little brother is. In fact, I say that Momma has a ball in her tummy. I came up with that on my own. It makes strangers laugh. Sounds like my life is going to change soon but I'm none the wiser.
Until next month,
-lfb

February in Texas
Last Sunday was a beautiful day. We went to hang out at Mimi and Buddy's house for a little while. I kept leading Buddy to the shop and pointing to my fishing pole. He fell for it and let me fish. I didn't catch anything but I sure shook the fish up.
It was so pretty we all sat outside and played. I played with my new golf clubs and ran around like a wild man.
PS- look how huge my Momma is now...good gracious. I hope that ball comes out of her tummy soon.
Mr. Fred came to see Mimi and Buddy's house too...He likes to fish and could not hold back. I hope he caught something!
Mr. Fred brough Auntie Sharon over. She hung out with us while Fred fished. It was her birthday so she got to celebrate. Don't you love that pile of debris behind Mimi? That all came out of their house- wait until you see what it will look like in a few weeks. It is going to be awesome.

Snow
Tricked you- its packing peanuts not snow. But I liked to think it was snow. You can scoop the "snow" up and let it fall down.
I liked it when Momma and Mimi did for me but then I learned to do it myself. Fun times.
What a mess.

Mardi Gras comes to Manvel
My second cousin Veronica was in a bunch of Mardi Gras parades in Galveston with her dance team. She brought me some beads and some other mardi gras loot. I shared!
And then I took the beads for myself.

Elmo Grows Up
We took a chance and went to my first theatrical experience- Elmo Grows Up. It was quite the show- I highly recommend it. We made it through intermission but then I started to say "Home, Home, Home". So if anyone knows what Elmo picks as his future profession, please drop us a comment!
The Pollards came to see the show too. Keegan danced and watched the show. I sat stone cold still on Momma's lap. When Elmo was off stage I would ask Momma and Daddy- "Where's Elmo"?
It was quite the family affair! Lots of moms and dads at the show. We had a good time and hope to make it past intermission of the next show. Oh, and see that popcorn? I ate one and half boxes of that stuff. Yummy.

Ashes on Ash Wednesday
I went to Church with Mimi on Ash Wednesday. The priest gave me ashes and then I rubbed some of Mimi's on my forehead too.

Go Aggies!
I can't say Gig 'Em but I know how to cheer for the Aggies. We went up to College Station for a basketball game last weekend. We stopped at the Chicken Oil for lunch. Momma, Daddy, Marsha and Matt were excited to eat there. I was just excited to see all the cool stuff and dead animals they had there. I hope to go back sometime soon.
Look at all those Aggies. Momma kept saying, " I can't believe all these people are at a basketball game". She sounded a little bitter. Momma went to every basketball game for 4 years. Sometimes, she was the only one there (might be an exaggeration). She was thrilled to see the Aggies having a good season and to see so many fans at the game.
A rare Momma appearance on the blog-see how happy she was to be at a well attended Aggie game?

Byman Superbowl party
We had a family party- I was sick (see slick spot under my nose). Daddy was dieting, but the game was pretty exciting.
Right before halftime I convinced Daddy to get in my choo-choo with me. It was a tight fit.
Pictures from the Aggie game to come shortly...

I got my hairs cut again...
This haircut was much better. I sat on Daddy's lap. I got to hold a toy. I had a nice hair dresser who used scissors instead of clippers.
Hey Lady, watch where you are cutting. Finished product picture to come.

Before Haircut #2
It was time for haircut # 2. This time we did not go to scary clippers guy at the barber shop- we went to a kid friendly spot near our house. While we waited Momma shopped for fat lady clothes at the maternity store.
Time for the haircut, don't you agree?

Deer Blind in the play room
Daddy got a pop up deer blind and popped it up in my play room. I love it and ask for it sometimes. I'm trying to hide from Momma in this picture-you know behind the camo??
Here I am Momma. Did you know I can play Wii from inside the deer blind?
Quick exit.

Playing with Kate
Katie (Mimi and Buddy's dog) spent the night at our house a few weekends ago. We love to wrestle together. Add in two packages of Momma's new socks and its a darn fun party.
I'm not sure who has the better end of this move.
Watch out Katie. I have Daddy's boots on. I love to say the word boot, by the way. Daddy wears steel toed boots so I can't really walk in them.
