Hey, Hey (this is my reference to my new favorite show Duck Dynasty!...we love you Uncle Si),
we have had a busy month. As soon as school was out D and I went to stay with Nana and Pappy for a week. Mom and Dad came for Memorial Day weekend. We had a great time. We swam and swam and swam in the lake at Nana and Pappy's house. I learned to skip rocks, I tried wake boarding, and had even took cactus needles out of my own finger (don't ask). When we came home, we hung out with Tia, Pacman, Nash and Wren and also met and hung out with Mimi's friends Marya and Jane. I now refer to them as Jamarya. I am going to visit them in New York sometime in the not so distant future.I lost my first tooth and my second loss is imminent. I had my last t-ball game and my first swim meet. I really like swim team practices and I'm warming up to the meets. I ride my bike by myself to practice every morning and mom and Davis follow me in the car. I went to a few days of soccer camp at UH and had a great time but then I caught the virus Davis had and now I've been home bound watching movies, coming up with fun projects and crafts. Dad will be getting most of my crafts for Father's Day. Lucky him. I'm excited about turning 6 soon. I'm making a list of gifts I want, feel free to contact mom for suggestions. I love my shaggy hair, dressing in work out clothes and wearing my running shoes. Summer is awesome!
Next time you see me, I will be 6. Yay!

49 Months
Hi suckas (I mean like the lollipop),
I'm one feisty 4 year old. I'm quick to judge, react, and scream. Try me! We are now out of school and trying to enjoy summer. We had a great trip to Marshall for the week before Memorial Day and a great visit with Mimi's friends Marya and Jane and Nash and Wren (and Tia and Pacman). Then, I got a fever and a NASTY pervasive virus that has lasted for almost 3 weeks. THREE WEEKS. It finally turned into pneumonia and I got to get on antibiotics. Up above you can see a picture of my pneumonia lungs. My pediatrician thought it would be funny to take a picture of the x-ray in front of my real parts. It is lined up pretty well, huh? I've hardly eaten while I've been sick so I've actually lost weight. I'm going to need some serious food and desserts when I feel better. Before this sickness I was a swimming machine. I can't wait to get back in the water. I was jumping in, swimming across the pool and going under water to touch the bottom. I hope I don't forget my skillz! I've enjoyed watching Luke and his friends practice swimming for the swim team. It is pretty cool. I bet I will be on the team next year. I've been relaxing a lot at home and having a great time playing in my "office." My office is actually a huge box that Mimi snagged from a neighbor's new exercise bike. I set up my office with a table, stool, pillow and blanket, my DS, and lots of weapons. You don't want to sneak up on me! I'm looking forward to Father's Day and feeling better. Talk to you soon (hopefully germ free),

One Down
I lost my first tooth on June 7, 2012 (Mom says we have to chronicle dates because this is my baby book!).
The tooth fairy brought me some special cash! Mimi and Buddy supplemented it with $1 bonus. The tooth to the left in the picture above is really lose and could fall out any day now. The top two teeth are also lose and bound to come out before summer is out.

Swimmer in the House
I started swim team in May. Our meets are all through the month of June. Here I am before the first warm up at the first meet. I told Mom and Dad that my butterflies were in my tummy and they were turning into buzzards. Yep, I was Nervous.
My pal Jason is on swim team, that makes it better.
Getting ready for my first individual freestyle race. My entries are pretty good. I can even dive off the blocks pretty well.
Backstroke race! I really improved in back stroke between the first and second meet.
Here is my crew: Jason and Travis at the second meet. I was a lot more relaxed.
Mommy allowed me to get "inked" for the meet because I was a great team swimmer. I swam the first and anchor legs of the relay because my team was missing a member! So far, I really enjoy swim team.

Memorial Day 2012
We broke our Galveston tradition and headed to Marshall for Memorial Day weekend this year. One of our first orders of business: washing Pappy's boat. He cleaned spider webs and other critters out of the boat. It was a group effort but well worth it.
While we were in Marshall we visited our good friends Maddie and Cade at their lake house on Caddo Lake. They have a super rad boat with loud music and lots of possibilities like skiing, wake boarding, wake skiing and tubing.
Luke tried to wake board and got up for a couple of seconds but he wasn't really a fan so he didn't take too many tries. Maybe next year? I won't throw stones though because I didn't even want to try.
A RARE moment of brotherly love.
Daddy tore it up behind the boat on Mr. Runyan's wake surf board. That's a cool thing to watch. Daddy even grabbed a drink from the boat while surfing behind the boat.
Meanwhile, back at Shadowwood....what you don't eat your watermelon in the lake? Don't knock it until you try it.
Group photo to prove that Mommy is not scared of lake swimming.
We also had a wienie roast/picnic at Pappy's farm. Here, Ryan and I are discussing how to increase the power and speed of the 4-wheeler. Seriously, we are, in detail.
Told you it was a wienie roast!
We took lots of Ranger rides around the farm and even messed wtih Pappy's cows a little bit. Mary LOVED the cows.
Because we are boys, we came up with a new use for the water table---it was our fish table. And we filled it up! Great time.
