The Force Is With Us

There is an awesome exhibit at the Houston Health Museum that takes you behind the scenes of the Star Wars movies. They have costumes, models, replicas, computer simulations, and games. We didn't know there was a Health Museum in Houston but we were glad they hosted they exhibit. Of course we dressed up to go!
Have you ever been this close to a Wampa? Unless you have been to the planet Hoth, I would guess not.
No Sunday is complete without a picture of the Wookies. We were a little surprised to find out there are multiple Wookies but I guess that is what happens when you have to wait until you are 10 to see Episode 3.
Oh yes, I got a picture with Yoda.
Tusken Raiders are no match for us. And just for the sake of the memory, we were quite the hit dressed up. Random people would ask us to pose with the exhibits for their cameras!

Living It Up at Moody Gardens

Mommy had to speak at a bankruptcy conference earlier this month so we headed down to Galveston to hang out at the hotel where she was speaking. Nana and Pappy came down to hang out with us and have some fun in Galveston.
The hotel had face painting every day. We did some outrageous designs.
Jumping on hotel beds is ok but is not to be repeated at home or at Nana's house. We jumped from bed to bed to chair to suitcase holder to bed. We then repeated until we hurt ourselves or brother.
Mommy was able to do a few things with us. Moody Gardens is so fun. They have 3 pyramids filled with plants, animals and movies. There are lots of gift stores there too. We visited quite a few of those. The beach on site and pool were also very fun.
Frog faces!

Can you see me? I'm hiding! I have sure enjoyed being 5. It is so fun. I LOVE listening to ITunes on Mommy's Itouch. Turns out I should not be listening to that music. So, now I'm a big fan of Kidz Bops. I love music. I love my head phones. I love dancing. I also like getting to stay up late every now and then during the summer. I like practicing work outs with Mom. I can do a one armed push up. For real. I love helping Mom and Dad clean up, do dishes, organize. I am also big on coloring, drawing, cutting and pasting. I like making things out of duck tape. Pictures, sculptures and bracelets all out of tape. I am planning my transformation into teenager a little early. I've asked for cooler clothes. I like to jam out. I try not to nap and I try to sleep late. Oh goodness. Not sure Mom and Dad are liking it but I'm sure having fun. Getting ready to go back to MCP for kindergarten. Whoohoo!

Hi all,

Wow, what a summer. I have had such a great time. We have been so busy and having so much fun. In the past month we went to Great Wolf Lodge and Galveston. We have been swimming at Mimi's and had a sleep over there. We have played at playgrounds, been to jump castles, hung out at the community pool and caught up with lots of friends. All the big kids are going back to school but we still have some time to enjoy the heat. We have had some serious heat and drought in South Texas this year. It is not strange for the temps to be over 105 degrees. HOT. We have been doing some organizing and getting rid of things so we have a fresh start for the school year. I'm enjoying some mandatory rest time upstairs every day after lunch time. My swimming is outstanding now. I'm a real fish. I'm branching out from my normal books and reading some new subjects...rhymes, Splat, Scooby Doo and Spoon. I'm enjoying the variety. I have been listening to Mommy's ipod (but not as much as luke). I still love listening to my VBS CD. It rocks. My next update won't be far off. We are hoping to catch up soon. Stay tuned.

How long is this summer?

We have been so stinking busy this summer. But we have been having a fantastic time! I had my first lemonade stand. I made about $16. I am grudgingly giving some to charity too! I would like you the internet to know that I came up with this lemonade stand all on my own. I tried to do it all on my own but I needed some help.
Mommy was trying to be "different" and "less type-A" so she suggested Davis play with shaving cream one day while I was at zoo camp. I think he enjoyed it!
We have been to a lot of fun play dates this summer. We've been to Jumping Jungle with our classmates from last year, to Stomping Grounds, the movies, a tea room, and in this picture Davis was at the Children's Museum.
I requested cooler clothes this year. Mom delivered. These are my rocker jeans!
This is a total blackmail picture. Mom and Dad know I love the longhorns. This picture attempts to say otherwise. But seriously, I was so excited Daddy let me try on his senior boots. They are pretty awesome.

Woodland Family Reunion

We had a family reunion celebrating the Woodland family (that's Buddy's paternal grandmother's family). It was at Mimi and Buddy's house and it was awesome. We had filed day activities, we swam, and we ate some awesome food.
Here is Bea's branch of the family tree (Bea is Mommy's great grandmother).
Egg toss was a serious competition. The last two teams were in a long competition. It made us wonder if some of the eggs were hard boiled.
There was some awesome cooking. Deviled eggs, peach cobbler, squash casserole. And some of our kin brought a huge cooker and made every kind of barbecue you can think of. It was all so yummy!
Here is our cousin Irma. She was the MC. She is the most senior representative of the Woodland crew. She and Mimi and Buddy did a great job hosting a super fun weekend party.

Great Wolf Lodge

We went to Great Wolf Lodge with all the Bymans in July. It was so fun. It is a big, mostly indoor waterpark. We had so much playing and visiting with family. Luke was able to go on lots of slides and had a great time. I was still a little short so I will have to wait for next time.
Our room was so awesome. It had a separate Wolf Den where Luke, Ashley and I slept. It had a tv and bunk beds.
There is a super fun game at the hotel for when the water park is closed. You do a big magical scavenger hunt on all 8 floors. You get a special wand that makes the statues and stuffed animals move around too. We completed 3 quests while we were there. We will have to get quicker next time around.
I told you all the Bymans were there!
Before we came home we stopped at Legoland in Dallas. It is smaller than the real Legolands but still super cool. We saved a lego princess, saw a mock City of Dallas made out of legos and raced lego cars. We even left with a few lego sets of our own.

It was a circus

And I quote: "Coolest Birthday Present Ever!" Mom and Dad gave me circus tix for my birthday. I had never been before. It was awesome. I loved the motorcycle sphere. 7 guys rode at one time! There was so much to watch I think I will have to go back next year to make sure I saw everything. I did buy a $22 light up toy with my own money at the Circus. Jury is still out on whether that was a good deal. But, I can say it is not broken yet!
