From those handy email updates...
Your baby now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber), from head to heel. His weight will more than triple between now and birth as he rapidly puts on baby fat. he'll need that fat to help adjust to colder temperatures outside the womb and as a source of energy and calories in the first days of life. If you're having a boy, his testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take about two to three days.
It is obvious that second child syndrome starts in utero. We are so busy, there has not been much time for blogging about baby. But I think people were wondering what was going on. So here is an update. We have no name for baby yet so Daddy calls him "Guac" b/c a few weeks ago these emails said he weighed the same as an avacado. Momma feels pretty good. She is working a lot so she gets tired easily. She can't really carry me much anymore- she makes me walk up and down the stairs all the time and she is teaching me how to hold hands when we walk around other cars. Momma has gained about 17.5 lbs. She says she has gained less than with me but she looks like she is bigger. Those are the breaks! Momma said I'm getting a big boy bed soon. I still have no idea what a little brother is or why everyone keeps acting like my life is going to change. Momma got some books but I don't buy into those. I'm doing good and talking all the time. More blog posts to come soon- if Momma ever slows down!

PS- any ideas for names? My folks obviously need help!!

Like Father, Like Son
I'm a handy man around the house just like my Daddy.
My new tools really get a workout.
Seriously, look how helpful I am.

Visiting with Pals
On Momma's day off I went to visit old friends and their new siblings! First stop was Conner and Caroline's house. I ate pizza there. I also was very gentle with Caroline and even gave her a kiss. Momma was so impressed with my behavior she forgot to take a pic of Caroline. Check out how cute she is on the Kubesch blog.
Next we went to Mimi's house to see Tia. Her pal Rachel came over and brought her boys Jett and Jude. Jett and I shared goldfish and played around each other.
Jude did not do much but he was cute doing it!

Fort Rippling Springs
Mimi is a master fort builder. She made a great one for me last week. I ate my breakfast in there and watched Sesame Street from behind the fort's safe walls.
Breakfast tastes better in the fort!
I'm learning to chew with my mouth closed. It is hard when you put such huge bites in my mouth. BTW- I love to say the word "HUGE" now. I picked that up from Buddy.

Sous Chef
Now that I climb on everything, including chairs and the step stool, I have become quite the helper in the kitchen. I love to help Mimi make dinner. She loves my help too.

18 Month Old Rockstar
My 18 month birthday was last Friday. We have been so busy Momma got behind on the updates. 18 months is a fun, fun age. I talk nonstop. We are well over 50 words now. I have my favorite words like "Sue Sue", "shoe", "Zeus" and "Choo-Choo". Trains are my favorite. I love to see real trains and make fake trains out of boxes, hampers, and chairs at home. My favorite book is even about trains. I love music and I love to dance. I dance in my car seat and at home. I play my new guitar (Thanks Wright family). I also play my cousins new keyboard. I love to hanging out with my cousins too. I'm sure glad they moved. I'm sleeping like a champ. I still have an obsession with chocolate no matter what kind. This past month I started eating cereal out of the bowl. Without any prompting, I picked up my bowl and drank all the leftover milk too. I enjoy fishing and watching grown ups catch fish. I started back to school and can't wait to learn new stuff. I have a firm grasp on the power of the word "No" and am starting to endure strict restrictions on my pacifier. Only in bed and Momma and Daddy don't even fall for my attempts to get in bed for a quick pull on the paci! I hear that I am about to move to a big boy room- still not sure what all this big boy talk is all about. I'll find out soon enough. I haven't been to the doctor yet for my checkup but will update the stats as soon as I get them. Talk to you all again soon-

Happy Birthday Daddy
Today is my Daddy's birthday. We had a little party tonight with pizza and cheesecake. I got to help Daddy blow out his candles. I blew out the top 3 and Daddy was left with the two at the bottom. The cake was cheesecake so I had to sit in my chair. Ashley sat with me and guarded Daddy's birthday presents.
We even had cheerleaders over for the party. Daddy opened presents faster when cheered on by the cheer squad.

Winterfest
We went to Winterfest in Pearland with my cousins last weekend. That's right- there was snow in Pearland last weekend. And it was hot outside. My cousins went down "Mount Washington" in tubes. They said it was fun, but nothing like the real snow in Virgina.
Brittany was living it up at Winterfest. She went tubing and got her face painted.
They had like 30 jumpy things to play in. Even some that dads could get into too.
My first carousel ride ever. My cousin Ashley went with me. Momma stayed with me. I wasn't overly enthused but I didn't cry either. 2 guesses what I said when it was over? Yep- One More.
We had a caramel apple at the festival. Kyle opted for the candy apple and it gave him a hard time. It also dyed his teeth red. Kyle gave it a run for its money though and only threw away a little bit of the apple.
Not kidding- kids could slide down a giant sinking titanic ship.
I was too little to tube so I went in the snowball area. You are supposed to wear glasses but I did not. Didn't stop me from throwing my first snowball!!Babbling By Byman at 8:07 PM 0 comments
Welcome to Manvel
Weekend #2 at Mimi and Buddy's new house was a little less hectic. While Mimi and Daddy fixed things at the house, I went fishing. I even played with worms.
Tim caught fish. Some were bigger than this, some were not. Daddy caught fish. Aunt Marsha caught one. I am not even joking, we almost caught one on my Scooby Doo casting plug. We did catch a big one on the Scooby pole. Pictures to come later.
Here is Aunt Marsha hard at work to catch her fish. You all know how she gets if she can't catch fish! Don't worry- she caught one. Katie approved. For those that are worried, Katie seems to be doing fine in the country.

Bye Bye Whitehaven
Mimi and Buddy officially said goodbye to Bellaire last weekend. It was a busy weekend-moving 18 years worth of stuff takes a lot of time and energy. I was a big help. Like my Momma and aunts, I'll miss a lot about the Bellaire house, but the new house has lots to offer too. If you have a story to share about Whitehaven St., I know Mimi and Buddy would love to hear it sometime. They are not homesick yet but we think it is coming.

Conner Kubesch is a big brother!
I woke up this morning and Conner was at my house. His Mommy and Daddy were at the hospital welcoming Caroline Grace Kubesch into the world. Conner is going to be a great big brother. And after spending the day with me, he is glad he doesn't have a big brother!! Here we are enjoying a breakfast picnic prepared by Mimi.
And because our picnic led to binge eating we had assigned seats for lunch!
Conner found his way into my playhouse. I said Mine to him but he stayed in there. Brave boy!
To pay me back for being selfish Conner chased me through my star tunnel.
Conner is not a fan of my PDA! We both took a little snooze after this picture. Then Conner went to meet Caroline. I can't wait to meet her myself.

New Years Eve
We went down to Galveston and spent the night with the Cook family. Here is a pic of our gracious hosts. They taught me all kinds of fun stuff and let me play with their toys. In return, I shared my donut holes and did not cry out in the middle of the night!
The beach was killa cold on New Years Day. I am so bundled up I could hardly pick up this stick!
Julia and I were the only ones who really enjoyed the beach. All the other wimps were cold.
The Cooks have a super long golf cart to get us to the beach. It was my first ride in a golf cart, so of course, the picture goes on the blog.
