Hanging Around, here and there

Silly rain day activity. We have had a lot of these lately.

Valentine's party at Luke's school. Mommy and Canon's mommy helped put it together and as our activity we made a frame.

Then we posed for a class picture to put in the frame.
Davis, a mess, as ususal lately. The other day, Mommy thought about just throwing his clothes away. It was that bad.

We had a slumber party with Ashley after the superbowl. She slept on my top bunk and hung out the whole next day. It was fun.

Hi pals,

How goes it? Life is busy around the Byman house. We have a new cousin. Our Nana has been here watching us since Nash was born so we have been having all kinds of new adventures. I am really learning to be the big brother who is a "good example." That said, I don't like when Davis is talking when I am talking or when he is trying to boss me around. Sometimes I just can't be a good example. I've been playing a lot with my friends on our street and by myself at home. I really like drawing lately. It has been so nasty cold and wet in Houston that we can't go outside. So drawing it is. And watching movies and my favorite show- Phineas & Ferb. I'm still pretty picky about food. If I don't like I try to get Davis to eat it. I am great with my manners though. It makes Mommy and Daddy proud. I still love danicng and music. I saw a movie this month, Alvin & the Chipmunks, the Sqeakuel. I even danced in the movie. I have been talking about community helpers at school and thinking about what I want to be when I grow up. Mostly I want to be a space ranger (like Buzz Lightyear) but after that, when I am really big, I want to be a lifeguard. We have lots of fun stuff happening in the next few weeks. Check back on my progress.
Love, Luke

Nash Archer Paczosa

The Davison fam mobilized quickly on 2/6/2010 to get to Austin ASAP to see Nash arrive. Mommy was right there with them. Halfway there, Tia called and said her water broke. They hauled booties the rest of the way but still had to wait a little bit. So they all sat in the lobby and read. Nerds.

Buddy waiting and reading.

Mimi waiting and reading and begging the nurses to give her information regarding Nash.

The nurses finally let them all into the room. Can you say stampede? The funny thing is they were just about the only people at the hospital.

A more rational crowd. All itching to hold the little guy (and check on Tia, of course).

After strenuous hand washing they all got their hands on him. He is so tiny and cute. He made all the ladies smile.

Nash's other grandparents, the Paczosa. Grandma Paczosa was thrilled. She could hardly stand still waiting to meet Nash.
Mimi and Buddy had to check him out. He has the requisite little Davison chin mark and is "just perfect" according to Mimi and Buddy.

Nash was getting a little tired of all the passing around. I mean for real, he just made his appearance a few hours before.

But Mommy held him anyway. He is going to call her Midge. She is pretty smitten with him and was right from the start.

So you want some stats? He was 7 lbs, 19.25 inches. He was born at 5:27 which comports with Tia's need for symetry despite teh fact that she does not favor even numbered birthdays. He looks a lot like Pac-Man to us but we think Tia's nose is there too. He has blond hair which must come from the Paczosas. The Davisons have to pay for that.

A week after Nash was born Daddy, Luke and I went to meet Nash (and check on Tia and PacMan).

Daddy got to hold little Nash. Still a natural. I was not sure what to make of this little guy at this point. But I quickly grew to love him. I'm still trying to figure out why he could not come home with me. (But I am a little miffed he got my glider stool- I liked to surf on that thing).

Big brother got to hold Nash first. Isn't he a natural? He loved being that close to Nash and checking him out.

I really loved holding Nash and did it about 6 times. I was ususally pretty good at avoiding his face but really, really wanted to give him a kiss. Eventually, I decided he was my baby and I wanted to take him home. I lost that battle. We can't wait to see our cousin again soon (and Tia and Pac-Man). If you need a Nash fix, check out their blog link to the right.

Hello Again,

Here I am busting a move. I love to dance. I dance in the car seat, at the dinner table and just walking around the house. I also love to sing. My favorites are "You are my sunshine," "Humpty Dumpty" and "This little light of mine". Funny thing about that last song. It is on a CD in Mimi's car but the CD skips. So I think the song says "I'm gonna let it sh, sh, sh, sh, sh, shine". Funny. I'm officially into everything. EVERYTHING. Watch out, even if you think your stuff is safe, I will get it. And most of the time, I will then hide it. I steal the camera, mommy's phone, remote controls. I push buttons on your computer when you aren't looking, and when you are. Just the other day at Tia's, in the span of 30 minutes, I stepped in a water bowl, pulled the tips off her aloe vera plant, tore Pac-Man's work papers, and hid the door stop. 30 minutes. See, I will mess you up. I love my brother and ask him for hugs and for him to hold me. I help him eat his breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. I even got to sleep with him in a big boy bed at the hotel in Austin last weekend. I literally say more than 500 words. I'm speaking in complete sentences and trying to count. Everything is the color green, except the color green (which is blue, duh). I want to drive the car, whether it is moving or standing still. I like to talk on the phone and roam the house while doing it. I love school and talk about my teachers and classmates often. Especially Ms. Marnie and Cody. I still have my paci but here that won't last forever. In the meantime, I demand it when I want it. I demand a lot of stuff. Mommy is always reminding me that I am not the boss around here. I obviously disagree. Let's see how that all shakes out over the next month. Holla at you soon.
