Out and About

So, Luke started soccer this week- Small Stuff soccer at the YMCA. We are one practice in and looking forward to more practice!

I could not understand why big brother did not want me on the field. I was already wearing the right color shirt.
2nd week of school. We thought our clothes were cooler so we made Mommy take a picture. I love to carry my backpack like Luke. Sometimes it is so full I fall right over.
Big brother took this picture of me and the leopard at the zoo. I was really close to the leopard and then he just leapt up to that rock in like a split second. It was pretty awesome.
Luke and Daddy went dove hunting when we were in Marshall. I understand that Luke did not mind Daddy hunting but that he much preferred standing in Pappy's new deer stand.
I'm such a clown. Here I am wearing Pappy's hat and Daddy's boots.
A rare moment of peace and quiet. It did not last long.

First Day of School

Davis and I started school last week. Mom had us dress "sort of" alike.

Here I am right outside my class. It was a kind of hectic morning so this was right after Mommy and I accidently walked into the boys bathroom while a daddy was using the urinal. Nice. I told everyone and mentioned how embarrassed Mommy really was.

Davis was actually asleep when he got to school. Once he woke up and lost that paci (no pacis at school- Mom's rule) he was ready to go, that is until Mommy and Mimi left the room.

This is right before Mommy and Mimi left the room. Luckily they did not capture the after pic but it had to be bad because I think I heard Davis and my class is 3 doors down and across the hall.

38 Months Old

Howdy folks,

Its me Luke. As you have seen, life is pretty busy right now. School has started and I'm warming up to it again. I think my teachers are ok and that my friends are fun. We have some new kids this year and I'm still getting to know them. I like that Davis comes to my school and has my old teacher. I like being a "good example" to him most of the time. I'm teaching Mommy and Daddy that there really is something to the saying that "3 is much worse that 2"! I'm developing quite a bit of sass and vigor. I've decided that I don't really need to say please anymore. Instead, I just voice one or two word command/demands. This doesn't normally get me anywhere but that doesn't stop me from trying. I am still trying to figure otu whether I need my daily nap or not. This transition does not always lead to the best results. Oh, and I had my first juvenille delinquent incident when I decided to run off while Daddy wasn't looking (for a millisecond) because I did not want to share my stomp rocket with Davis. Mommy and Daddy were furious. But enough of the negative. I'm taking swimming and started soccer. I am becoming more social with kids my age and ask to go play with the neighbors. I got a big boy bike and have had some great rides. I've hunted and didn't mind it and I even tried bowling for Cade's 4th birthday. I'm getting excited that I'm going to have a Davison side cousin and I've already added little Boy Paczosa to my prayer list. Mommy thinks I'm growing up pretty fast when I say thinks like "dude", "rad" and "super cool". I just roll my eyes at her (really). In my opinion life is good and getting better.

LFB

Family Fun Day

Sue Sue and Aunt Marsha hosted family field day on Sunday. It was a ton of fun. The Davison, Kiel, Byman, Marz, Beakley, Montgomery and Paczosa families were all in attendance. We had races, swimming, yummy food, awards, and a closing fireworks show. There were two teams: Blue and Green. The Green Team prevailed this year (woohoo, that was our team). It was such a success, I think we will do it again next year.

The full family tug o war was participated by all so there are no pics. However, the follow up junior tug o war event was entertaining too. In the real event, the Green team prevailed 2 out of 2 times.

The kiddos did the egg in spoon relay. No chickens were harmed in this event.
Between events there was some slip n sliding.
This picture makes Mommy laugh for whatever reason.
This was the cup and bucket event. Each team had to fill their buckets from one tiny cup until a ping pong ball floated out. Davis wanted to play so bad that Mommy had to carry him down during her turn. I was very good at this event and kept most of my water in the cup all the way down the course. But, the Blue Team prevailed.

Here is the water balloon toss. Green team prevailed.

This was the most hilarious game. 6 members of each team ran down the course, twirled around a baseball bat 5-8 times and then had to run back down the course. The Blue Team's lane got much bigger when Uncle Matt took out the boundary markers because he was so dizzy. Mommy put a hurt on the Green team's lane during her turn too. She said it was hard to run like that!! Not too hard though, the Green team prevailed.

The 3 legged race. Blue Team prevailed. They were really in sync.
The course, before the festivities. Sue Sue did a great job with set up.

The winning team's mug shot. Davis and I are missing from this shot but we were integral to the team's success.
The group photo. Fun times. Tia was taking care of future baby Paczosa so she missed the shot. Otherwise, the gang's all here. Can't wait for next year. I hear a rematch is in the works.

16 Months

Hey Pals,

Time for my 16 month update. I'm super busy these days. I'm running, playing and talking up a storm. I love to play by myself whenever I get the chance. I like to play with our kitchen set and read books to myself. I also love bouncy balls but I think that is because that is what brother is always playing with. I especially like to do everything outside. I wake up saying outside and beg to stay outthere all afternoon. I am not phased by the heat. I still enjoy my two naps a day (look out Mother's Day Out). I still eat lots of food but I have cut back. I'm getting picky. I don't eat peas or mixed veggies. I love fruit and pretzels and all kinds of meat. I am talking up a storm. I say: yes, no, brother, belly, nose, eyes, movie, ball, dirt, water (no longer pronounced 'watee'), buckle, juice and everyone's name. I love to bounce on the Zebra toy above. It is super fun and makes lots of fun noises. I still have the paci but not for much longer. Brother and I start school again Tuesday. It is going to be so much fun. I had my open house last week. I love my class and my alone time without my brother. He is great but everyone needs a break every now and then! Look for pictures of the first day and new adventures coming soon!

Holla,

Davis
