Mimi made a yummy pineapple cake. I was very concerned with all of the noise caused by the mixer. The only thing that made me feel better was looking into the mixing bowl and of course having a taste of the batter...
Oh, yummy batter!

School Daze
I am starting to do a lot better at school. I only cried 30 seconds when Momma dropped me off on Thursday. I really like getting ready for school- I just wish Momma could stay there all day with me. Other problem- I still wake up at 6 so when school starts at 9 I am pretty tired. Check out my final stare here!

Swinging...
I really enjoy swinging now. And not just swinging, I love everything about the backyard and the park!
I was roughing Daddy up while swinging.

Party at Keegan's House
Keegan had a party to welcome his Papa home from California. Liam was there too. It was a lot of fun playing next to each other (we aren't at the playing together stage yet). Notice here that Keegan is bouncing his ball on Liam's head. It was a gentle bounce.
I carried my OCD cleaning habits over to Keegan's house and dusted his floor and wiped up my milk every single time I spilled it. I normally don't have such a serious face while cleaning. I just didn't want my mom publicizing my neurosis.
Bucket head on the couch with Daddy.
Janet, Farrell and Momma wanted a picture of all the boys. It seemed that a forward facing picture would not work so we attempted the behind the couch pose. We had a great audience and there were many pictures taken. Farrell and Liam's grandmother helped pose us. If you look carefully you can see Farrell's head between me and Keegan.
Liam had to take a breather so Keegan and I waved hello to his Ga. We had a great time at Keegan's party and I slept like a champ the whole way home.

Freebird
Mom and Dad, what's so good about this Freebirds place?
Oh, I see. This place is really good. I like that you can dip, dip, dip in the sauce. I'll come back here soon.

14 Months Old
Today I turned 14 months old. This momentous occasion coincided with my first day of school (see below). This last month has been BUSY and I've been busy too. I've had play dates, road trips, and an open house. My molars are still coming in but nothing is sticking out yet. That makes me drool. I run everywhere. I have big boy tennis shoes that help me run faster. I like torturing my dogs by chasing them around the house. I'm learning to control my fits and tantrums because if I throw one I have to go to my room. I don't like going to my room during a fit. I can really open all doors now so there is no privacy in our house anymore. NONE. I learned that toilet paper goes in the toilet and I also know how to flush. I like to flush. I still eat everything but I LOVE grapes, raisins and my goldfish. I'm also back to bananas. As you can see, fruit is my favorite. Turkey dogs are second faves and peas are probably third. So, I'm not doing too bad! I still love Elmo and Wheel of Fortune. I don't really watch anything other than those shows although I did peek in on some football last weekend. I say a few more words like "Archie," and "that one." I still call Momma "Dada" but I call my pops "Daddy." I love to climb into chairs and play on playgrounds. I also love to scream and shriek. Sometimes I shriek at uncomfortable moments, like when Momma is putting me in the car seat at the grocery store so that people think I'm getting babynapped. Like I said, it's been busy. I'll keep you all posted on my progress at school and my 15th month.
-Peace Out!

First Day of School
Magnet heads!
Momma and Mimi took advantage of my naivete regarding what "school" meant and took these hokey pictures with me. However, they were such nut cases dropping me off that they did not get a picture of me in the class room! That's alright, my teacher did. Momma will put that one in my baby book. I could not wait to get into the classroom this morning. I was knocking on the door. As soon as the teacher let me in, I ran around and played with the toys and begged for a snack. BUT, as soon as I saw Mimi and Momma outside the window I melted down. This caused Momma and Mimi to tear up and flee the school. When Mimi came to pick me up I was crying again! But, I did not cry the whole day- I played, ate lunch and even took a nap on my nap mat (Momma can't wait to see this for herself). I followed my teacher around and learned to sing the Itsy Bitsy Spider. I can do my fingers like the spider now. I'm such a quick study!

I've got new skills
I can hide. I hide under tables, in the nook in Momma and Daddy's closet, in the pantry and behind doors. I love to hear people say "Where's Luke". It cracks me up!

TEST
Mommy needs to send my picture to Daddy's phone so she had to repost it here for a few minutes. Bear with my technology challenged 'rents. I am sure a 13 year old could do this in 7 seconds. It has taken Mommy 10 minutes so far!

Big Boy Chair
For a few minutes I was a good boy and sat up in the big boy chair and ate my chips and salsa. It was yummy. I can only be good for so long, and I had to move to my high chair for dinner! But don't worry, my aunt Marsha's friend Kevin came over again and I was much nicer to him. This smile was actually sent his way. He is a smart guy and came prepared to bribe me - with raisins! I hope everyone had a super Labor Day. I am headed to Marshall this weekend so I predict you will see fishing pictures here next week!

Dirt-y Boy
While I love playing in my water table- I really enjoyed playing in the dirt this weekend. I threw dirt everywhere. Everywhere including my Momma's hair and face. I also covered Archie's back in dirt. He is such a good sport. I then washed all the dirt off in my water table.

Ice Cream- You Scream
Momma and her friend Christina (and the obligatory Houston panhandler) helped me enjoy some tasty chocolate ice cream on a very hot August afternoon. Momma kept putting ice cream on my upper lip. She thought it made for a great pic- I think it makes for a mess. I'm not too fond of messes these days.

So many captions come to mind!
How cute am I? First, I have my camo shirt on to commemorate the first day of dove season. My daddy tore up opening day. Second, I packed my own bag to go spend the night at Mimi's house. Momma took out the 3 pairs of PJs that I packed but did throw in my toothbrush! Third, I actually liked wearing my backpack. I think I am really getting ready for school! It starts next Tuesday.
