Seriously-how cute are we? Momma knows she hasn't posted in a while. She keeps saying how two kids are a math fallacy. Two kids are not 2 times one kid. More like four times one kid! Parents of one child take note. Plus, Mimi is on vacation for 10 days (YIKES). So far, Momma isn't doing too bad but she cracks down a lot harder than Mimi and doesn't put near enough chocolate in my chocolate milk! I love Cookie Monster these days- almost as much as Elmo so Momma got these outfits for me and Davis to sport together (yes she has started dressing us alike already-nerd). We've been busy while Momma has not been posting. We have been swimming, eating lunch with the TK'ers, visiting Aunt Michele and sending the cousins off to someplace called camp!
A real Davis smile. Melts Momma's heart. She coos as much as he does these days!
Momma likes this picture. Thinks she will see Davis looking like this a lot in the future while I preapre to pounce him. Poor chap.
Me want cookies! Or at least some peace and quiet. I make it hard for Davis to get much consistent sleep. But he does sleep a lot at night. He has had quite a few nights where he slept straight through. Doesn't he know that Momma and Daddy are trained (by me) to wake up multiple times in one night?
I got little brother and Momma to laugh at my cheese face. We have lots of fun together acting silly. Lots of our silly time lately revolves around my budding imagination. I have created many imaginary pals including a puppy dog who wakes me up every morning and afternoon. The puppy dog's name is Mac most days but somedays it is Archie. I have an imaginary dove (pronounced "dub") named Goodbye and an owl named Archie. These pals live in the kitchen. If you are very special to me I will let you pet them.

Swim Days
We had a fun swim play date at Mimi's house (even though she is on vacation). It was crazy- there were 9 kiddos, 2 pre-teens and 5 adults. Momma hardly had time to take pictures. Here are a few of us chowing down on pizza on a swimming break. We swam, looked at chickens and ducks, watercolored and ate snacks and pizzas.
The babies had their own mini-party too. Davis is the youngest of the group. You can also see Caroline and Baby Luke. Caroline was the belle of the baby group. Ainsley was the princess in the toddler group! We need to find some girls to keep Ainsley company.

Pre-Patio Celebration
We cannot wait for the patio to be finished. Not much is left to be done- really just the final electrical and the clean up. I like it right now because I can ride around with nothing in my way. I pretty much own this patio right now. Who needs furniture?
Here is a mid-way pic of the patio. Cool, right? The columns are bricked and so we have to move our gate which needed to be moved anyway.

Bonding
Aunt Marsha was on vacation for a while but as soon as she got home she came to see us. Davis had breakfast with Aunt Marsha while I fished with Daddy. Then we all played together and even ate dinner with Aunt Michele and Uncle Rob. Davis is sporting his birthday suit because Mommy was tired of changing his clothes every time he "spit ups".

Seeing Eye to Eye
Slugs fascinate me. Really. I also really like the dead worms that fry on our sidewalks. Those are cool too.
Hey slugger- you are feeling pretty slimy today.

Workin' in the Rain
It is summer in Southeast Texas- Let the thunderstorms begin. More reason that we needed our patio. We came home from a fun filled evening of looking at patio furniture (what?) and I didn't want to go to sleep. The lightening had stopped so Daddy and Momma let me play in the rain.
I started the night in my shirt and shorts. Stripped down to my diaper and ended in my birthday suit. No naked baby pics on the blog though- privacy issues. Here I am inspecting the sprinkler head that the patio guys relocated. Not sure we need to water the concrete. Daddy needs to do something about that.
Our workers were always pretty good but I helped clean up there messes most nights. I destroyed one of their drinking cups one night so the next morning I had to take them a new one. They were happy to have the replacement.

Happy Fathers' Day
Happy Dad's Day Daddy. To celebrate the occasion the whole family went to an Astros game. They played the Yankees (if you could call losing 0-13 playing). We sat in the suites. It was a good time. Yes, I know this is not a complete family picture but my folks will take what they can get these days.
Check out my jersey. Also, note my Astros puppy dog. Mr. Ira from Mommy's work gave it to me. Davis got one too. We liked Mr. Ira. He came all the way from NYC for the game.
Davis slept almost the whole time we were at the game. A good portion of that nap took place on Ms. Demetra from Mommy's work. I liked her too but Davis liked her the best. Can't you tell?
Here is me with more of my loot. I picked up a mini-bat and some cracker jacks before we left the game. What a great father's day I had. I think Daddy had a pretty great day too. Thanks TK for a fun game (despite the stinky loss).

Nirvana
So we are getting a patio at the Byman hacienda. It will be covered with fans and lights so Momma and Daddy and Mimi can tolerate to sit outside with me while I play with all my balls, bats and golf clubs.
Here I am checking out all the workers. I was the quality control inspector- if the workers were resting I was letting everyone know about it.
How could my day get any better- a garbage truck and concrete truck on the same street, in front of my house, actually stopped for my own pleasure?
Concrete trucks are super cool.
I could sit in Mimi's lap and watch a concrete truck all morning. Oh wait- I did sit in Mimi's lap and watch a concrete truck all morning. I didn't even change out of my Thomas pjs. Who needs formality while observing construction?

Big Brother Goofing Off
I don't know if it is because I'm a big brother now or because I am almost 2 but I'm a pretty funny guy lately. I do things just to make Momma and Daddy laugh. Here I am goofing off on the couch. I finally pulled one of the typical boy tricks and pulled all the cushions off the couch and jumped from the ottoman to the couch and back repeatedly until falling a little short and hitting my belly pretty hard.
One morning this week, I was feeling pretty cute so I staged my own photo shoot and ordered Momma to take my picture as I posed in this basket. I am big into bossing and making my demands known.
It is H-O-T in Texas. A boy has got to cool off. My cousins and Michael and Veronica were over a lot this week and we played in my splash pad. I treat this as my own personal pizza sized slip and slide. It is a little short for Michael but I make him slide too. He is such a good sport.
Like I said, my cousins have been over a lot. So, I've picked up some interesting styles. This is my Hannah Montana impression.

Luke- 23 Months
Still sporting my cheese face! Wow- it has been a busy month for me. I finally figured out the whole "baby" joke. Davis is actually a person- I call him "Little Brother". He's pretty cool- despite the crying and "spits ups". I'm very helpful with Little Brother. But I'm still having lots of fun too. It is summertime in H-Town and I'm soaking up the sun. I swim almost every day at Mimi's house. I can now hold my breath and go under water. I can't wait for swimming lessons to start this week. I've been playing with my cousins and Michael and Veronica. Those guys know great games for the pool and the back yard. Daddy is a great playmate too! I have been playing balls in the back yard and bringing in the trash cans with Daddy. I say some pretty hilarious stuff lately including randomly calling out "dot com" because I hear it all the time on TV and the radio. I even asked- "Momma, what is dot com?" I also want to talk to everyone on the phone- especially Sue Sue because she calls here a lot. I'm also learning about listening. That's a tough lesson but I'm making progress. I get pretty frustrated that my mouth doesn't say the words I'm clearly thinking at 1000 mph in my head. This causes me to scream out at the top of my lungs. After that, I can finish my sentence. I've got hundreds of words that I can say now and thousands that I wish I could say but can't spit them out. I love watching baseball and wheel of fortune but that is about all the TV I will stand still for. I do love my kids music CDs. 5 Little Monkeys and Row, Row, Row your boat are my current favorites. I can actually sing Patty Cake to my little brother too. I've gone potty on my big boy potty quite a few times now- but I'm no where near diaper free. I sleep all night in my bed almost every night and my sleep chart is filled with stickers. School ended this month so I'm at home with Momma, Davis and Mimi for the summer. Can't wait for all the fun we are going to have. I'll keep you updated.

Davis- Month 1
Happy Birthday Little Brother. What a busy month you have had. First, birth. Then that crazy light table. Next reflux. And all along you had to survive despite the interference of me and Momma and Daddy! You are really filling out. Every day you look like a new, cuter boy. You don't seem to cry to much except for evening time and you eat like a pro. I just wish you didn't have to spit so much of it up. Seems like I am always reporting your "spits ups" to Momma. Try to keep it down little guy! Obviously you are getting nourishment though. At the doctor on Monday when you were already 9 lbs, 11 ozs-that is almost a whole pound more than the week before. Momma and Daddy think you are over 10 pounds now. Keep up the good work little brother!

Where does Daddy work?
Momma, Davis and I went to see where this so called "Daddy Work" place is and what it is all about. I LOVED Daddy's work. It is paradise for a toddler (and that much more dangerous!). I got to see the two big cranes-one even had a load. I saw concrete trucks, the guys paving a road, a trailer getting dropped off and lots of work being done. Daddy is building one big building.
Safety first- I had to sport my hard hat while on site. Hard hats and soccer shoes are the paramount of work site safety- just ask OSHA.
I could not be too careful- wanted to make sure those truck drivers could see the toddler!

Rewind
A few more pictures from Memorial day weekend. Here is rare pic of little brother with his eyes open. He is hanging with Sue Sue.
Big Brother with Tia. Tia has a pretty cheese face!
Pool partiers.
Another Zeus appearance. That dog is something else!

Wiped Out
We were not as busy as last weekend but the boys still needed to nap! Big brother napped in his room like a good boy. Daddy and little brother crashed in the chair. How cute! Momma was wishing for naps but no time for that!!

Sip and Seeing (sort of)
This weekend Davis was introduced to the neighborhood. The ladies of RSC hosted a Sip and See for Davis on Saturday. It was very fun- lots of good food and friends.
Davis got to do some sippin' too. That's his future babysitter, Mary, helping him out.
Sunday we had a sip and see hosted by Courtney. It was also lots of fun with yummy food. Momma is so lucky to have such great friends.
Though little brother sipped he did not do much seeing!! Won't be long until he is the life of the party but for now- he naps!
