Davis Update

Yo internet, Davis here. A lot has been going on. Check out all the updates below. I've been hanging with family and even got baptized. Hence the "gown" I'm wearing above while hanging out with my Pappy and Aunt Marsha.

Wanted to give you all a quick update. I've run through all the stage 1 baby foods. I love the fruits the best but will eat pretty much anything. Even rice cereal tastes good when you mix it with such yummy delicacies as sweet potato or peaches. I'm crawling/scootin' around like a wild man. I can get where I need to go, no problem. But I'm not sitting up just yet. Gotta leave you wanting more.
talk at you soon.

Luke 28 Months

Hey internet. I'm 28 months now. I've been a little under the weather lately so I'm just getting around to giving you my update. As you will see below I've been traveling around Texas. I've been to San Antonio and Austin and I'm headed back to Marshall next week. I've really had a burst of activity this month. I sing my ABC's, the Barney song and lots of other songs totally unprompted. I play by myself. I refuse to eat some stuff and beg for candy and "bug juice" on road trips. I'm really pretty much potty trained though I prefer to go number 2 in my britches sometimes when I don't get my way. Mommy, Daddy, Mimi and the crew are trying to figure out what to do about that. I sleep well and dread the fact that my paci's are going to be taken away soon. School is good. I'm even good in church. I survived the nursery and mass and Davis' baptism recently. I'm really into watching movies but the only time I sit that still is in the car on a roadtrip. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. I'll holla at you soon.

Sticky and Sweet Tour 2008

Mommy and the other Mommies on RSC went to see some old skinny broad named Madonna on Sunday night. Mommy said it was a ton of fun and that she enjoyed herself a little too much. Sadly, she came home to me puking and Daddy as sick as he has ever been. Mimi got the bug the next day and that is why blogging is a little late this week!! How hot are the RSC mommies?

Little pic for some reason but this is Mommy's pic of waiting 2.25 hours for Madonna to take the stage. Good times.

Blessed Baby

Davis was baptized at Sacred Heart Church in Manvel on Saturday. He was such a good boy. Mommy and Daddy are so proud!

The fam, the priest and the Godparents-Donna and TC!
Mommy, Davis and Mommy's Godparents- Donna and Uncle Mike.

Davis, mommy, daddy and his Godparents. So glad the hour long ceremony following hour long mass is over!

After the baptism everyone came over to our house for BBQ and cakeballs. if you haven't tried cakeballs you don't know what you are missing. Daddy thought it would be funny to take a picture of the feeding freenzy surrounding that which is CAKE BALLS!

Party Time- Excellent!

We went to 2 birthday parties Saturday morning. One for my pal Conner who got an awesome helmet and one for Braden who had a "jumping" party. Good times.

Conner had Mickey Mouse at his party. I stayed at least 15 feet from the mouse at all times. However, I did do the hot dog dance with Mickey at the end of his show. We don't really know that song but promise to watch more Disney channel in our free time to figure it out. What time does Mickey come on anyway?

Braden's party was at a place called Monkey Bizness. It was so much fun, I hated to leave early. I was a jumping machine and loved going down the fast slide. Thanks guys for the fun day.

Austinites

Mommy had a conference last Thursday and Friday so we headed to Austin with her to see Tia and PacMan. Mimi came too. You can never have too many reinforcements. Here we are at a park in Austin with a choo-choo train. I haven't learned the valuable lesson of staying off the tracks yet. Apparently Mimi has not either.

Driving a fire truck. I heart fire trucks. Each time I'm in one, near one or hear one I think back to my pal Matthew the fireman at the firestation near the Paczosa's house where we stayed during Ike and I tell that story to whoever will listen.

Playing the xylephone at the park.

Cruising around in Tia's backyard.

Cheesing it up with Tia and Davis.

PacMan and Tia in the morning. We might have woken them up (and the dogs) a little early.

Davis chowed down in Austin. He got to try bananas for the first time.

Sea World San Antonio

We went to San Antonio last weekend with my cousins. It was so much fun. We stayed in a cool hotel with heated pools, playground and fire pit. We went to Sea World and the Alamo and ate on the Riverwalk. We pretty much knocked out all we could do. Next time, we will have to visit Mommy's family that lives there too! The Star of the Show. We had dinner with Shamu. We were literally 5 feet from him. I stood up in my seat and said "Hi Shamu" over and over.

Those are sharp teeth. Shamu can eat you.
Right before the Shamu show. Daddy could hardly contain me. Davis was chill because he just ate.

Those are sea lions. I say- they smell horrible.

Face painted, back at the hotel and posing in front of Shamu with my Barak Obama doll. Yes, he made the trip to Sea World.

My first spin in tea cups.

A tour in the tunnel maze. I did not like the plastic parts- they shocked me (and mommy and everyone else).

Checking out the bright colored little frogs.

Double decker ride, Byman style.

Feeding the dolphins. Other than Shamu, this was Mommy's favorite spot.

Our fam at the back of the Alamo.

Remember the Alamo.

Smores at the firepit at the hotel. Fun times.

Davis- 6 months

Davis here. I'm helping mommy with her promise to the internet. I woke up super early today- try 4:30 a.m. and shared some predawn time with Mommy. She fed me and then we played with my blocks. She took videos of me too but they were not of anything special so she won't post them now. One cool thing- I spit up in one of the videos!

I need to give a shout out to Mimi- her birthday is the 5th! Happy Birthday Mimi.

Now for the stats. I went to the doctor a few days early. I had to get a bunch of shots but I did just fine. I am now 16lbs, 10ozs (25-50%); 27.25 inches (75%); and my head is in the 75th percentile too. Perfect check up. I don't have to go back until I'm 9 months old. Don't worry, I'll update you in the interim! I am scooting everywhere now. I can move across the floor in no time. My first tooth broke through on the bottom- my left front tooth. I've eaten green beans, peas and sweet potatoes. I love all of that so much more than that nasty rice cereal. But mommy and daddy still make me try it. I love to chatter and squeal, mostly in response to my brother's squealing. I'm sleeping well and getting used to the time change. Waking up at 4:30 has been a little tough on me and mom! Talk to you guys soon!

Mommy's Promise to the Internet

Dear Internet,

Mommy knows that Davis is very under-represented on this blog. She is worried about severe second child syndrome setting in. Because of this she is going to make a concerted effort to take and post more pictures of my little brother. That said, he slept through Halloween so he didn't make those pictures. He turns 6 months this week and there is so much to update you all on. Pics to come. Mommy promises.

Pugs, Pugs, and More Pugs!

Tia and Pac Man brought their "kids" to our house this weekend. They were a little crazy. They travel in a pack and snore but are so funny to follow around.

See those pugs' heinies? Gross.

Happy Birthday Davison Ladies

Mimi, Tia and Sue Sue all have birthdays this week (Pappy's is the 9th)! The grown ups went to eat at Vincent's on Saturday night. Davis and I stayed with Mary Williams at our house and had lots of fun.

Off with their heads. Daddy said he was taking a pic of Mimi and Mommy's mouths. I'm not so sure.

3 of my favorite people.

Sue Sue and Tim. It was really Sue Sue's birthday. She is big on birthday celebrations so we had another one on Sunday for lunch where the kids could come along!
Tia and PacMan came in to surprise Sue Sue. It was a success and I got to hang out with them too. bonus!

Earning My Keep

I'm starting to help out around here. Doing dishes is my new favorite way to waste time and natural resources.

I can only accomplish this fun with the help of my step stool.

Trick or Treat!

Here I am in the act of trick or treating. This was my fifth house, and I was a pro!

Don't be scared that is me, Luke, behind that mask. Me and my cousin Veronica were posing for pictures. She came over and trick or treated with me and then handed it over to Mommy for some pre-diet indulgences.

Here I am with one of many super heroes on our street. This is one of those pics you see years later and crack up about. What face am I making?

Here I am with Wonderwoman!
That's my Buddy. He was telling all the trick or treaters that that was his real face. It isn't!
